can 200% on da dot weapon be compared with 200potency poisen?

as far as i understand..
strength is the same consideration as effectiveness..
and the potency percentage calculates to raw potency..
so a weapon with the following:
strength 75
potency 67%
would be equivalent to a poison with the following stats applied by a non-CM (who gets no additional damage from CM effectiveness skill)
effectiveness 75
potency 67
but i could be terribly wrong there.. i'm going mostly on 'gut instinct' from what little i've observed much more than i'm going on empirical data..

yes, could be, but i am stuned that most of the crs dont know how to explain the stats on weapons. i asked some in the chat this afternoon, and he could not answer.
and i could really use those explanations, because i am defending myself, and the whole cms against some flaming again.
