Thread: A couple of questions....

Hello, I'm new to Combat Medic and was wondering how effective my debuffs would be in PVP should I go xxx4 Combat Medic. Currently I've been having great success in landing Thyroid Rupture/Electrolyte Drain/Paralyze in PVE but haven't gotten around to testing it in PVP.

Secondly I was wondering if there were any enhancers available for the debuffs and what effect do they have on them - increased chance to land or increased duration? Also, I've read in different places that there was an Action debuff somewhere in CM but am not sure where - which move is it?

they are not worth you getting so close to the person (8m) to apply them. So stick to the keeping your distance, only time I would say go for it, if you land a paralyz and it sticks (you don't mess up and shoot or hit the person by mistake).

the second question is no, because they too out the potency from game, but the crafted stuff can still increase time and eff.

Thanks for the advice. Truth is I'll mostly be trying this out on Jedi and their main concern will be closing the gap between us (which they're pretty good at doing). I plan on slapping them with a Paralyze when they get within range, then hit them with Electrolyte Drain and putting some distance between us. Once out I can also launch an Improved Knee-cap Shot to slow them down to a crawl.

Hmm, I love the debuffs, they are teh first thing I put on a mob in PvE and the first thing I put on a player in PvP.

With MCM and Master Pistols I can do this rather nice combo:

Para/Shock/Drain/Para/Thyroid/Traumatize/Para/Hemorrhage/Warning Shot/Stopping Shot/Fire/Poison/Infect/Stun/Intimidate

And then dump damage on the target. It's lots of fun.

For DoT's I use the enhancers but for debuffs I dont and will not. Using an enhancer doesn't tell you how long before you can use it again. For paralyze it is extremely important that you can see at a glance how much is left on the timer. Thyroid, hemm, Ele drain also need to be seen when things get mixed up and you're faced by mulitiple targets. Its extremely frusterating to click on the enhancer only to hear the loud CLICK sound telling you the timer hasn't been refreshed.

Enhancers do not increase the effectiveness, only the duration. The small bit of added duration is not worth the ability to see whats recharged and whats not. Knowing where your abilities stand in PvP and high content PvE is extremely important. I can't tell you how many times I've popped off a thyroid or paralyzethe second the timer refreshed while on the avatar platform or while taking down a SF Det. HQ.

if it's one on one, then by all means go for it.
