Thread: CM in a necrosis Group

hey guys just figured i would put this post in for the heck of it. key things you need to do in necrosis, or any elite mob, fights as a CM.


1. Thyroid Rupture, Slow that lawnmower down.

2. set up a bacta spray macro. Let the group members know when your healing, mine stats "Area heal in 2 seconds hang in there troops". Or something corney lol.

3. Alternate heals on a set target. If your tank is getting hammerd focus on using Jab, Toss, and Spray, heals come faster, and with thyroid rupture in place you should be able to stay ahead of the dmg curve.

4. If things get bad PARALIZE. For this reason do not put your dots on him, if they tick they break paralize. Tell everyone to stop attacking paralize him, use the time to heal, regroup, switch tanks, rez players, you have 7 seconds make them count. Also thanks to the other posters for this idea. Set up a macro stating you are about to paralize him that way they wont be surprised

I would add: Make a macro for Paralyze. It should /say STOP ATTACKING NOW. Paralyze in 3 seconds. Or something like that so that there is a clear message to your group members to stop attacking so you can Paralyze and regroup.

You should also make it clear to your group members to turn off their autoattacks so that they don't accidently break a paralyze.

Haven't tried Nekrosis with my CM toon yet, just my carbineer toon. Just wondering - do CM abilities actually work on them? I mean, CM things are supposed to work on biological things, and Nekrosis and the NK3s are, well - not. =)



It probably works on all mobs across the board, just seems funny that you can poison a machine, or rupture it's thyroid

Yeah, they work...that's why I'm not too fond of the names that they have for our abilities, but not a huge issue.


I like the macro'd paralyze ability idea. I feel like an idiot for not having one already! With the change made to concussion shot that's going in...hopefully more people will understand what exactly our ability is as more people have that ability themselves.


That brings up a new issue for us also...all of a sudden our /paralyze just became a second tier skill. Concussion shot can be applied at a lot farther range and has a longer duration (I believe). It has really cheapened one of our most unique skills.

lol yea lets not forget a macro paralize Ony reason i left it out is i honstly forgot, we had a master SL, who would send a system message before i would paralize. I will add the paralize idea to the main post.
