Does anyone know what kind of damage these are going to have?

Restore to full?

Is it based on skill level?

Just curious...

I heard the CM will be able to heal the mind pool, but not HIS OWN mind pool... so don't get too excited there mr. rifleman.

Kave did some testing on the test center with this. he said he did heals ranging from 500 - 1100. Taking as little as 50 mind wounds to as high as 100. (The amount of wounds you take depends on your Battle Fatigue)

My worry is that healing mind damage will add to the individual CM'sBattle Fatigue....

I really don't see myself using this much. In PvP its useless, because I can only do this so many times before I am worthless to my group. And PvP usually happens in cities, let them die then come back.

In PvE, I can usually just drag away and let them get back up from encap. Or let them die then rez(master doc too).

I think giving wounds is just lame. It's really a pathetic attempt for a mind heal option. I don't see myself using it much, because 1 BF can't be healed out in the wild, and even if BF isn't a problem, how many dancers do YOU go hunting with? Every once in a while we have someone with Novice Entertainer along, but very rarely. Our hunting is usually over when someone has too many mind wounds.

The better option for healing mind IMO, is to just grant Master CM and Master Doc to use the stims they already use, but being master, it also heals mind. I don't see a problem with this. Mind isn't supposed to be the determining factor in PvP, this would solve that issue. Making it a master ability removes the non-stop healing for exp, masters don't need healing exp anymore, unless you are master doc, and trying for master cm, or vice versa. Then I would say, once you master one of them, that the medic exp caps be dropped back to novice levels, so that when you start CM or Doc, you don't have massive amounts of exp stored up from healing sessions. Or make it so if you only heal mind, that you get no exp.

The point is like I said already. This is a crappy way to implement mind healing. There are much better alternatives out there. I think this solution is more a joke and insult to master CMs. And then what? Doctors get the shaft? No mind healing for them?

Please feel free to comment.

And of course there is the catch, doubt I'll be using it much then. at 10 BF per useit will build up too fast to even bother.

I thought the catch was the 200 mind for using it on top of the 50 wounds to mind, willpower, and focus. 10BF is not that bad compaired to everything else.

That's the ham hit you take? That plus 50 mind wounds...ouch. Very limited.

What if your on Muon? Does it get reduced?

it is a steep HAM cost

my mind stats unbuffed 1100 / 650 / 600

first use was 180 mind

second use was 188 mind

thirduse was 198 mind

fourth use was 212 mind

fifthuse was 230 mind

so as you take wounds, the HAM cost of using heal mind will increase, I haven't tried it but I am guessing that some spice should help a bit untill you puke

I have also been able to cause a self incap by using the /healmind when my mind was low so be carefull if that doesn't get fixed before it gets pushed to live

Definitely doesn't sound as promising as I had hoped. Seems like I can never migrate my stats enough to allow me to be a Doctor AND Combat profession both and not get owned whenever I hit the field.
