Thread: How much can YOU get for a mission
I am thinking of becomeing a MCM but I would like to get some figures and opinions first. First off what do some of you get on a solo mission? Being able to obtain a decent amount of credits per mission is a much needed tool for me and besides I am not always able to group. Second, is the weapons. If I try for say Master Pistoleer then I get no scout skills and run like a snail. Have some of you simply not gone to master in on the weapon professions? Thus allowing you faster movement.
MCM seems a very cool profession but I want to make sure I am doing the right thing by going that route. Ive been playing the game since the week it came out but have not mastered a Elite profession yet....cant seem to make up my mind what I want to do. But I do know there are a ton of BH's out there and currently I am one of them....I think a less populated profession has its advantages =)
Thanks for any replys!

Your poisons do not factor into the mission difficulty and payout like weapons skills. I am a Master Combat Medic, Pistoleer 0,4,4,0, and Doctor 0,4,3,0 and I pull 3500 credit faction missions solo. I do not do creature missions solo because of the respawn rate while killing the nests. Without the Doctor skills you could Master Pistoleer and probably pull higher missions.
You do not need to take scout if you plan to master CM. You get +10 Terrain Negotiation at each Combat Support level and at master for a total of +50 TN. You also get +10 Burst Run in there somewhere too.
If you like grouping CM is a good profession to have and very appreciated. With my character I can keep the group alive no problem, rez if needed and still contribute greatly to combat with both poisons and pistol skills. Pistol is also a good combat skill for combat medics because of the faster weapon speeds and healing in combat.
If you mastered Pistoleer and CM you could do rather well for yourself.
I will use the example of faction missions, I dont generally do non-faction missoins except on "static" planets (lok, dathomir) where everyone gets the same payout.
Currently 4 - 0 - 0 - 3 rifleman with some decent weapons (14 - 428 laser is my hardest hitter, atm, please dont laugh) and master CM. On my own, i can pull 2.3k missions, but the majority are <2k. WIth a probot and a non-CH pet grouped, i can pull ~4.2 - 4.4 Imperial Missions.
So, to sum up, i can't survive soloing missionsand pay for resources to make the poisons, stims, guns, armour, a house etc... I have to group and do Kam missions on Dath, or sell resources or my crafted stims.
I happen to like selling and crafting so that's ok. But if you expect to survive just doing missions asa Master CM, i haven't really found out how to do that soloing (unless you get an AT-ST).
Another option that I've found to making money on the faction missions is to go overt, and get yourself a soldier or two. I've found I get harder missions that pay out more, if I'm grouped with a couple of faction soldiers. Without soldiers I get level 11 missions tops, for about 1k apiece, If I group with the soldiers I can get missions at level 25 and they pay out better
About the best I can do as a Doc Cm with a beetle, is the Piket and Bol missions on Dant for about 10k. Imsure theres better payoffs elsewhere, butI dont likeit when I have to pay attention to whatI'm doing and the Bols are great for that.
Send Beetle in,area poison, kick back, sip merlot, watch telly
