Thread: Components for disease/poison

I've hade my way to MCM without having touched a single poison or disease and I've not bothered with using advanced components for stims- my area C's heal 560 a time with an area of 25 (i think) which is fine in a rancor hunting group.

I''m now looking at making diseases and poisons

Before I spend a ton of cash, is it better to use good resources (say OQ 800 and decent DR)(to make the regualar components, or poor (say 300-500 OQ and DR) materials to make the advanced components? In short, just how advanced is advanced?

Definitely Advanced.

Over the next few days, we're going to be implementing a new system: forum rating balancing. We are aware that stars 1 and 5 have been overused by players, while stars 2-4 have shown little use at all. Our new plan calls for the gradual yet systematical nerfing of stars 1 and 5, resulting in an even playing field for our forum-goers. Thank you.

*smiles to self, thinks: Another problem solved. All in a day's work*

If you can get your hands on the Advanced Components by all means do. But realize you can still make decent meds with Regular components, especially for PvE use.

Hello, I'm Nyner a MCH & Novice BE from Eclipse. I looted Rancor Bile from a rancor i heard from a master doc that it might be used in making poisons for combat medics. Nobody i know in game has a clue about it for sure though. Any info you might be able to supply would be greatly appreciated. I got a matched set like dragon segments. Power of like 30 and +speed i think of .3 maybe. Sorry forgot to right it down b4 coming out of game.

Thanx, Nyner

You can use them in diseases. They increase the number of uses for the stim. I made some with 90 uses the other night without really trying.

The problem is, and why more CMs don't use them, is that the component replaces the component used for range.

As I've said time and time again, you don't want to throw a 20 base range poison/disease at a critter, much less at a group of overt Imps/Rebels.

Rancor Bile is just a novelty item. All looks, no use.

I reckon they might be useful for making poisons for PvE myself.

I only PvE in groups, I tend to stand behind the melee fighers... probably within 20m of the mobs.

If it nerfs the range I agree it's gonna be poor PvP wise though... distance from the enemy is what keeps us alive
