Greetings all,

I have searched through the forum a bit and looked at the last month and a half of posts but I have not been able to find what I was looking for. If there is a thread on the topic a link would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am starting to craft CM items, but there are a lot of tradeoffs and I am not sure which ones are the best ones to make (if indeed there is a best choice). What would be your choice on the following items:

Dispersal Mechanism: Effective Range <or> Area Effect?

Resilience Compound: Potency <or> Duration?

Area Poisons&Diseases: Range <or> Potency <or> Duration & Power?

Area Stimpacks: Range <or> Area Effect & Power?

I don't know in PvE or PvP which is better for the Combat Medic, should I emphasize range or power?(not sure how the new range capaffects this). Potency or Duration? Should I try for a minimum range then put the rest into power or visa versa? Any suggestions or opinions are welcome. Thank you for your time.

I go with effectivness in all cases. PvE because it's easy to get away from NPC's and the combined damage over the life of a 10K HAM creature holds more benefit. In PvP because your likely to die within the first 10 second tick anyway and the only thing you can rely on is living for 10 seconds hoping that first tick will do enough damage to take out your opponent wiht one last shot.

This is actually one of the cooler parts of being a CM (At least until they fix the nerf to actually work). Basically you can do whatever you like depending on what you want it to do.

If you want to launch it from as far away as possible (Ala sniper attack) then go for range. If you want it to do as much damage as possible (Ala, bring on the pain) then go for effectiveness. If you want to make sure it sticks everytime go for potency.

I make my PvE all about damage and my PvP a mix of range and damage. So for a PvE I may have to get close but its going to kick their butts, but for PvP I can stand way back and let it fly.

Dispersal Mechanism: Effective Range Area Effect? Range....all the way. With my resources this lets me make 32-33m ranges poisons without experimenting on range in the final build.

Resilience Compound: Potency Duration? Potency.

Area Poisons&Diseases: Range Potency Duration & Power? The magic number for me seems to be getting potency above 95...after that, all remaining points go into effectiveness. I only bery rarely get resists if potency is 96 or better.

Area Stimpacks: Range Area Effect & Power? I usually go with power.
