Thread: Mind Heal wounds vs. musician buffs
Hi all,
Someone mentioned to me they heard you take less wounds if you have your secondary mind stats buffed by a musician. Is this true? And if so, how much of a difference does it make?
If there's some dispute over this I can do some more careful testing though.
Have you tried mindheal when not buffed and compared that to mindheal when buffed?
I had heard that one secondary decides the regen rate while the other decides the special move cost and wound rates. Never tested it personally though.
I can never remember which way round it is but you're right,
I think focus means that a special costs less and means that a shot to the head causes less damage while willpower makes mind regen quicker (knowing me thats prolly the wrong way round!).
Not sure if mind heal looks at your focus (or willpower depending on which way round it is)when deciding how much wounds to cause though.
I think it prolly does though - first mind heal after watching a dancer in camp the other night, so with no wounds, did about 30-40 wounds, after doing a couple more I had over 200 which would be consistant with the wounds to my secondary stats causing higher wounds on the second, and even more on the third mind heals. Quite possible I hit the button twice on one player and did 4 heals though.
Fatigue also affects wounds taken/done by disease. if someone has 400 battle fatigue, an 80 point disease will do upwords of 300 wounds to them. Its pretty neat.
However having your Mind secondaries does reduce the amount of mind damage you incurr whilst using /healMind. I really do recommend that all healers seek out a Musician buff before going into battle, you'll find that the never ending feeling when you can throw stim after stim and not even break a (mental) sweat quite refreshing.
