I just started CM and I was wondering what is the fastest way to lvl thru CM? That darn holo told me go CM. Any suggestions would be great. And what is the best item to grind thru?

Do the crafting tree by using a macro and practicing on adv. bio. for the rest get a high ham pet, and have another CM disease it, then you sit there and heal it. Should only take you a couple days to master it if that.

Also going to one of the big cantinas and healing the grinding entertainers will help. Get some Area Heals and you will be BMOC. You might even get some tips from the entertainers.

Tips from the entertainers... Now thats a good one (just don't hope for it).
Hunting with friends enjoy the game while you play it. Don't take all the fun out of it. Remember the Holo will only tll you 4 professions, keep grinding and you might get the fifth one in your 25 profession. So, always try to have fun.

But the cantina one is the best I heard for a CM, you get around 700+ xp per throw.

I pounded out all 4 boxes of the speed tree last night by doing the cantina thing. I was getting about 1200-1500xp per throw, throwing every 2 minutes.

I'm not a holo grinder, nor am i in a big hurry to get to master - i was just there chatting with some friends and having fun, and decided to try it out.

And i did get a couple tips, but not many.

in the cantina you don't get tips so much as delarations of love... I feel a bit guilty when people /tell me with endless thank yous since i'm just grinding same as they are

still, it's nice to be appreciated

I love this profession. It help keep our group alive so much on Dath I enjoyed where I did not before. I also got to loot 2 biles which I now are used in poison just dont know where.

Here is how I got 40k in one day.

Hunted on Dath (6 person group) Loaded what I had which was range stim A's. And normal d's and b's.

I neted 40k in cash 4 plates 2 bile and tons of herb meats (6K I believe 968 PE oq of 156 I believe)

Dant in 2 days I was able master medic (herb and Carn meat)

The cantina's are full of holo's nothing else now adays and is no fun

I agree with ambyrlin, once you have a little crafting skill and a little in the support tree, make some area stims and get in a hunting group.

Once you mastered CM, you might wanna try doc for a laugh - I got 3230 doc in about 4hrs healing a PA group while fighting rancors

You should try it doing Doc first and then CM... Same sort of experience. When you're getting 1k exp a buff, doing say 4 buffs a minute, 4k a minute translates to 240k an hour, and all the while people are paying you. Of course when I mastered Doc people didn't even know Buffs existed! (Hard to believe now, isn't it?) So I'd go around some cities with a droid in tow and start handing out random master doc buffs. I even got tipped well too, not that I would suggest doing this anymore, back then people were just pleasantly surprised.

Although in my opinion the best way to get XP as a Combat Medic is to get your hands on some decent AE stims (ask a Master CM to make them for you) and join a hunting group or two on Dathomir, Endor, Lok or Krayt Dragons on Tatooine. You probably will even get some cash from the group running missions, if they're doing that.

By the way buy dark roasted coffe. Gives you a great mind buff and is cheap and no downers like spice. I have some that last 900 seconds and you can drink 2 before I hit my cap (549 mind buff). Thank you C for the advice. I use a doctor to enhance my health and we hunt on dant by ourselves. I net about 9k in 2 hours of medical exp and neted after comnponent costs 2k in meat herb. I have gotten my friend to make me bio enhanced clothing so we will see how that goes.

I made some base 400-ish As with med use below 30 for precisely this purpose and put em on a vendor. Thoom, Naboo on Ahazi
