any other CM feel better if we just lost our area poisons and diseases and left the singles damage alone.

That way you should be hereing anymore whiners about how "Oh they can take down whole bases!! NERF THEM" I mean i would gladly give up AOE poisons and diseases if the devs would actually take away that nerf bat from over our heads and stop beating us to a pulp. I mean this way we can still do damage but if we want to hit every person in a base we'll have to remain in the open a LONG time.

So anyone else willing to give up the AOE poisons and diseases if they would finally leave the single target packs alone???

No. Single targets are nice, but I don't see 169 skill points of value if you get rid of the area poisons and diseases.

I do believe that single target poisons are well balanced damage-wise and area poisons (approximately 80% of single target damage) are too strong. I would prefer to see area poisons and diseases do around 40% to 50% of the damage of single target poisons and diseases. I wouldn't expect this to shut anyone up, but I do think it would be good for overall balance. The single targets would be for tactical kills and the area for attrition and harassment (rather than mass death).

At least I am glad that SOE seems to be doing multiple, measured nerfs (+1 poison cap followed by distance cap) now instead of massive nerfs that gut a class all at once.

I disagree with further reducing the damage on ae poison/disease without:
1. increasing AoE
2. reducing amount of components required
3. increasing duration
4. something else to keep their effectiveness worthwhile

Simply dropping the damage while keeping the hefty component costs simply removes one of our tools from being useful. If that's the goal, then simply remove it and be done with it.

ya with out AOE your toast, look to survive no less then every single target coming afteryou must be poisoned, AOE is the only way to pull this off

For nerf cryers tell them to play the class, and hopefully at least the devs have played it and know what we know that its balanced, and by no means the strongest combat class.

REASON:

KD/dizzy we die no defences, fencer, carbineer, BH, TKA

Mind attacks, cripple our ability to use medicine and posion and most of the time just straight out kill us

Riflemen kill us in 3 sec flat since we have no pasive defence

Swordsman if they get a mind bleed on you your in trouble i'm master doc and it took three first aids to drop it by that time it had ticed and my mind was down to 200 and thats after i had used spice fisk and glucose

conclusion:

Its not that we are over powered, it is if we are left un attacked to work we rule, enemies simply must find and kill the combat medics straight off, and sometimes they do but if they dont' we make a major impact on battles and i don't see the problem with that we have the most skill points invested in our class second only to BH's and tied with commandos, and yet one on one against half the combat classes we don't win much, carbineer, rifleman, most melee (if they can get in range or jump you)

We were nerfed, last patch remeber our dots don't inc, but fire still does /ponder... doesnt' that tick twice as fast and do 2x the dmg but still incaps?

If they get rid of AOE, I can't see any reason to be a CM. A Marksman with level 4 in rifle can apply a single mind DOT at 64 meters. Who would need CMs?

I'd give this post 5 stars.. but I'd probably have to start 1-starring it soon when the nerf baby's show up.
