Thread: Are area stimpaks worth the XP?

On my server at least, Area Stimpacks are not readily available to buy.

I noticed that they require some factory crate components to make, that also are not readily available to buy.

Therefore I'm trying to determine if I should go to the effort of setting up a factory to create them.

What I would like to know is:

When using area stimpacks in a busy cantina (for example) How much Xp do you usually get for:

1) Area Stimpack A's
2) Area Stimpack B's

Thanks.

defintely worth it, if you can get a doc to make the parts, they can easily be as good as top notch stim b's, but can proberly heal 15-20 ppl in the coronet cantina, meaning mega xp!

Area Stims are phenomenal for med xp. Go to a cantina and use them You will get xp through the roof.

Even if you're not into the Med XP thing anymore, AE stims are great for hunting groups and the AE Stim Cs can often bring an entire group up to full health.

Hell yeah!

Even without using adv parts or doc made schematics my area c's heal for 560 - I can keep a group standing against rancors without any real problem, provided afer Imind heal a couple of people we camp and and they don't just keep shooting the lair... gotta hate that

They are worth it. I make Area C's and use them all the time.

I usually have any number of stimpacks available when I am in a hunting group. I always have a Ranged C and D up, as well as regular Stim C and D plus an Area Stim C.

When I am in a group I tend to operate a lot like I did as an EQ cleric when healing. I never like to not be regenerating mind during the fight. So I use small heals to keep players healed up and functioning, I use the big heals for people who are going down more rapidly like someone that received agro from a big Mob.

This is just what I do. I also usually have Health and Mind poisons B and C up with an Area Health and Mind C for defensive PvP and PvE purposes.

Aye, but like I say, if I can keep a rancor group standing, why bother!

Gonna make some real good ones for use on buffed players in PvP tho.

My latest batch of Area Stim C's came out as 779 healing, 21 range, 34 area of effect, 31 uses. This was done using all advanced components and good (not great) resources. As I do a lot of PvE and my groups are rarelyuber-buffedI find it a waste of good meds for most of the time, when my 550 stims would dothe same job. (they get nervous when theHAM hits300) But every now and again. Something goes wrong, and I remember why I like the 779 stims.

In short, area stims are my prefered method of healing in combat if I have to cover more than one person.

i found that the best xp came from poisoning with area poisons. You dont have to wait for damage to occur, and you get the same xp whether you poison nunas or rancors. Just find a spot with a big cloud of little guys, get some doc buffs and muon gold or vegesparine (food) and poison away. Your only downtime will be waiting for mind to regen, not waiting for damage to happen.

Reached the med use for them 1st. I sat in cantina for 1 day. Mastered ALL combat medic and doctor med xp trees. Pretty sad this can be done. XP from this needs to be quartered
