Thread: Do I have to MASTER CM to be effective in PVP?

Poison and Disease do not truly become effective unless you Master. CM isn't very dabble friendly.

i hate people that ask me to make them poisons that they can use at 4/4/0/4 CM. i dont even sell my stuff to masters and i get tells every day from someone asking me to sell them poisons

I continue to think that (if you have a more or less unlimited supply of money to buy skilltapes, guns, and meds) 4-4-4-0 doc, 4-4-0-4 cm, and 4-0-0-4 rifleman is the most powerful template in the game. Especially if you can find someone to make you area poison Cs experimented down to 75 use (so that you can stack them with Bs...).


Imagine -- area poisons, area dizzy, suppression fire... And the ability to heal poison, disease, fire, and all the states... And a jawa made with a good speed tissue and a speed slice... Mmm...


Dunno why everyone on this board is so down on dabbling... The damage difference isn't serious -- losing full-power area Cs is, but it can be more than compensated for in other ways...

I'm Master Doc with CM 4/0/0/4 and I find it to work just fine. I can use C packs, just not areas. I can use areas if they are experimented down a bit. I am going for Rifleman 2/0/0/3. First set gives me headshot 3,mindshot 2 and accuracy and the last set gives me speed. I also have a Krayt Jawa Ion sliced for speed. The second tree in CM gives you ranged healing (could care less about) and at 4 gives you mind heal which I would really love to have but with spices/food I can do without. The third tree gives crafting and I just buy all my CM stuff with the money I make off buffing people as a MD.


I don't have much defense other than my armor, but being able to cure all states and use single C disease/poisons along with headshot 1,2,3 and mindshots 1 and 2 with my Krayt Jawa has worked well. The only thing I have to be careful of is letting the melee guys (namely TKM) get close to me to KD so I can't get up. The other thing that has gotten me is a guy with a flamethrower with mind dmg who stacked poisons and disease on my mind. Needless to say, I went down and stayed down. I just needed my fireblanket! Which incidentally I can't figure out how to craft. I hear you need Doc crafting 4 and to be near a Food/Chem station but I still don't get anything when I fire up my food/chem crafting tool and am right next to one...

Yes, well, being able to throw 450 tick area poisons at master CM instead of crappy 200 tick 75 use ones (don't forget the -25 effec from not having master).


Also, Master just plain rules, the range + extra effieciency not to mention +10 terrain negotiation make it one of the most worthwhile Masters in the game (next to Rifleman, I suppose)

I dont get why anyone would go CM if they are rifleman! The DPS for CM is clearly nerfed and useless, and a pointless SP sink. Best off getting some Teras Kasi skills or something.
