Is that with power-up? I got my power hammer sliced for damage and its 609 without powerup...

That's better than anything I've ever used- even sliced.

As for best powerup: I think there's a whole thread devoted to that here somewhere.

Ok I have been playing for a while now and feel I need to ask some questions, hopefully this wont sound too silly so dont laugh too hard.

1. What the hell are holocrons and how do you buy / use / trade them??

2. Why have a starting skill at all when it looks like you have to learn everything anyway?

3. Shouldn't Herald ncp's be identified as such before sending you on a pointless quest?

4. How the heck do you get to grips with stat migration?

It's probably just been me but I started out grinding the initial profession I had chosen, I had been playing for weeks before I caught on to the fact that I had to go and learn other stuff. Which brings me to hidden paths to become force sensitive, people talk about unlocking their force sensitive character so I'm confused, is this the character you are playing with who becomes force sensitive or does a new character generation slot open after you have completed so many tasks with other characters?

  1. You can get them as a loot drop from certain NPC's, and they can be gotten from one particular quest that I know of, however this one is NOT tradeable. You would buy or trade a normal loot dropped one the same as anything else in the game.

  2. Your starting profession is just that, a basic starting profession. You can do as many professions as you like with Skill points being the limitation. That's one of the better aspects to this game IMO. You can start as a medic, change your mind and decide you'd rather be a Master artisan/Entertainer and Musician. This change comes as easily as dropping some skills if you don't have enough skill points, and/or simply by paying 1k or so to an NPC to learn novice. Everything but Novice in any basic or elite profession can be taught by another player if they already have the skill.

  3. Not certain what you mean by this one, so.....

  4. If by grips you mean dealing with the wait, it's a bit annoying. However, if you mean how or what, it's cntrl+o by default I believe and what to migrate depends on what you want to do with the character. It generally takes about 2-3 days for the stats to fully move on average. You can migrate these stats instantly if you just created the character and are in the space station still.

Many elite professions require skills from more than 1 basic profession tree.

They will be changing the wayunlocking your characteris done shortly, for now, yes, when you unlock you get a second character to make on the same server. In the future, from what has been suggested sofar you will be able to persue jedi with your current character or create a new one as per the method that is in place now. Now, you force sensitivity is based on mastering 5 to 7 professions, all but the last one can be known by reading a holocron. Your last profession that you need to master will not be told, you simply have to guess or as most of us have done grind thrueach methodically based on ease, to see if we get lucky.

Ah,

Ok thanks for the info cleared a lot up.

Herald NPC are those annoying characters that give you a quest to a POI that when you go and come back to them they act as if you are running a mission for someone else. I have encountered a few of these, one to fort Tusken and more recently on Yavin, a chiss male gave me a quest to the temple of exar kun, he talked some mumbo jumbo about gaining access to power and hinted at the force and then when I returned said I was busy working for someone else!

Annoying because I think that Herald NPC's should just say hey I think you should check out whatever POI they are advertising instead of making you think there will be a reward at the end of it! As it stands I am stuck on Yavin because I spent enough credits on a shuttle trip across the planet and back, it's even more annoying because I had already visited the temple earlier that day! Maybe Herald NPC shouldnt be giving missions to POI that players already have a badge for - rant over!
