1) From what i understand old meds will be transformed to their post CU counterparts and keep their relative strength much like weapons will, right ?
2) There will be no more range stats on the meds.
so it would probably be a good idea to go all for effectivness, potency and charges with the meds, as the range stats will just end up ignored.
or am i missing something important ?

there will be no more medpacks or poisonpacks for docs and cms to use after the CU, as we will do all of our stuff componentless (... or by magic as some call it). most of the new packs that can be crafted then (by bio engies) are determined to be used by cm and doc to enhance their medical abilities (magic
).
so i guess most of the crafted packs we have when the CU hits will be transfered into such enhancers - but noone knows for sure right now. at least this would be something useful as we could still use them. the new crafted packs might be expensive at start (as it looks, the then needed ressources are hard to get).
but its hard to say how stats will influence the conversion. from the number of different packtypes (70% of med schematics will disappear) it seems clear that different types will be converted to the same post-CU pack. so its hard to say how they convert the stats of a D-buffpack, a C-ranged healing stim and a E-wound healing pack when all may result in the same new packtype.

Judging from the way its been going lately on TC-5, the power on your subcomponents is going to stay the same more or less. As to whether that will have a major impact on the enhancers is unknown at this time. Additionally, the fate ofpoisons crafted before the CU are unknown as well. Maybe they'll be converted into some type of nuerotoxin enhancer or maybe not.
I'll try and keep you posted on this stuff as I slowly progress up CM (CU grind is slooooooow)
