Just trying to understand why the DOT not incapping is such a big deal... is it really that hard to inflict one point of damage?

Not trolling, really, just my first impression...

No but you cant use the hit and run tactik and have to stand and fight and with that will lose more often in PvP.

Is it really that hard to do one point? Depends mostly on which side of the PvP fence you sit.

Solo PvE - No difference at all, +1 change changes nothing really. CM with poison takes 5 minutes to kill a mob any other class would have finished in less than a minute. IMHO we suck at PvE.

Group PvE - No real difference. Our poisons aren't quick enough for us get the last shot in, or enough dmg to get looting rights anyway. Any other combat class can outdamage us so we're kind of redundant and less effective here.

Solo PvP - One point is the difference between your opponent being able to execute any of a number of attacks. No, they don't have enough mind points to use any specials. But with buffs making for high regen all it takes is someone to spam XXXX special until it fires thanks to a regen before poison. And at the type of speeds Masters of other combat professions can fire their weapons, chances are better than good that they will get that shot before you can get yours. Truthfully though, we won't know for sure until we experience it.

Group PvP - Big difference I think. Someone else in the group will get that last shot before you nearly every time. And they'll most likely be closer to the target so they'll get the DB and faction. And once again, they will be dishing out more damage anyhow without having to look for a 1 HP window so they can just fight rather than have to wait and hope to get that last perfect shot.

Before you could get incapacitated and even deathblown, but your damage would be done... your enemy would go down unless there was a doctor around to cure him. Now it is very likely that you will die before the poison reduces your enemy to 1HP and the person you were fighting will not get taken down. Big difference.
