right, i need some help on my build....healing, what would be better(im ranged)

1)CM 4/x/x/x - more healing eff.(wouldnt doc be better?)

2)CM /x/x4/x - some good action/mind reducers

3)or.../x/x/x/4 - roots?

ive started on (2) but ...i was dissapointed to learn its not ranged...as a ranged char i generally have to keep my distance, i cant go running up 2 the guy "inject" run away etc

choice 1...just seems so carbon copy im a BH/MC

im thinking the carbs provide good roots....sort of, will paralyze stack with cripples? and can u still buff/heal/shoot ?(i know the name suggests u cant...but...still)

anybody a MBH/MCM here? how does it play out in PvP? have u tried it Vs MBH/MC?

MBH MCM is awesome in PvP, I'm usualy up right at the front with our Jedi.

You can heal, dot enemies, kd, snare, paralyse, debuff, ressurect, shoot them with your gun

The options it gives you are very wide ranging, its also useful to be up at the front when the enemy decides to call it a day and run. With my range it's usually me who snares and KD's those who are trying to flee from battle.

In a BH vs Jedi scenario it is also very powerful and with the correct implementation of tactics is as good as any other build.

I once a MBH MR CM 0004 build and I used the debuffs when the jedi got close... not the other way around. I didnt intentionally charge the Jedi but if the jedi got close (w/in 10 m) i'd paralyze debuff and run! Your healing won't be much at CM0004 because of the last publish but with a HE shirt you may get decent 800 bacta shots I think.

The CM 4000 build for MBHs is quite common, very common even more common than MBH MCM (but the jedi wont say that, they dont believe) and it is solid. Your healing is great and your weapon proficiency is excellent. Plus if you kite them right you will almost never need to heal..... just be sure to eat mind regen food and take a booster blue.

MBH MCM like the guy said above is great, its my current template. Its a whole different ball game tho, as you must fight a war of attrition where you wear your opponent down (wheres our 4 in offense devs? ). Your weapon speed and accuracy will suffer but if you play it right you'll be very dangerous to Master Defenders.

Bring back the CU or at least Pre-CU... its better that this MMO Third Person Shooter bullcrap

hmm, what is the biggest problem with

4) CM0400 , poison/fire?

it seems to me that ticks of actually damage, should outweigh other debuffs that may eventually lead to a better situation, no?

Seems many on farstar are MBH MCM. I was never an MBH but have been an MCM for a while. finally got the MBH title and have found in PVP It's not bad at all.
The downside is trying to apply states in PVP against non jedi. First off you have to catch up the them (provided they are ranged). They'll do anything they can to keep you as far back away as possible. Another root or snare helps here.
If they aren't bh or don't have TN then you shouldn't have a problem just need some time to catch up.

I haven't tried 0/4/4/4
However I see some potential problems. 1 getting experience without better healing is going to hamper your ability to level initially.
I went 4xxx first with my alt & got better xp. Is this dependant on heals or your level in the profession. (can anyone confirm this?)
in other words does it make a difference if you go xxx4 first? woudl you end up with less xp per kill compared to 4xxx?

You won't use the xx4x line as much as you would use 4xxx.
Since your applying states in PVP against ranged prof I'd suggest something with better range. or at least the novice line of rifles to give the snare attack.
Althoguh I guess you could use a rifle with a pistol special (stopping shot). So maybe that's not as much of a problem as I thought.

I just posted this in another topic so I'll paste it here as I think it might give some good info.

" ok in for a penny in for a pound as they say.

As to your question "What are the best lines in CM"

The biggest thing to answer for yourself is what you value most & what you plan on getting out of CM.

If the answer is... "Oh all I need are heals" Then it's clear you'd want to go 4xxx.

If the answer is. I just need something to augment my already great damage output of master rifles. well you might consider the xxx4 line as it'll slow down opponents.

But a lot of it goes into your line of thinking in what exactly you value & your overall style of game play is in addition to your current abilities.

The DOT's aren't great. Especially when compared to how they worked preCU. They do make a difference though by ensuring your opponent gets damage even if your healing or trying to regen.

See it's my personal opinion that MCM is one of the best professions as it allows a lot of flexibility.
For instance after shooting 30 specials your action may start to go down.
Depending on the lines you go with you can recharge your action and use your CM debuffs and DOTs as you start tearing at your mind pool. (generally you do the states first) but this is just an example & my overall way of working with CM & why I like it so much. I can attack using more than 1 pool & leverage the 2 off each other.

A lot of variables come into play that you should consider. I value 4xx4 most but always use my DOTs (not great damage but don't underestimate them). I'd say I use the xx4x line the least & I only use infect for fun (the ol let's see how much stuff we can apply). & I admit it is fun even if it is pointless.

I am MBH Master Rifles and thinking of at least one line In Combat Medic.

I have +25 to healing efficiency already from shirts and CA'S so I can heal pretty good and toss in Stim's I wont go down.

I am having issues with Master Defenders though..just cant hit them enough times, and even as a Master Rifleman my damage output is not where I want it to be. Would x-4-x-x be my best bet?

while there is talk on the uselessness of our DOT's I have found them to be somewhat useful. It's marginal damage therein abouts 450-600 per tick with both neuro & deut applied. Others are better with numbers. Can't say about an Mdef as I haven't fought one yet with my alt.
It'll do damage but not much. I've found in my duels that it does help. Although I'm an MCM so I use everything in the arsenal when it makes sense.
