Now that the 12-25k buffs are a thing of the past there has been a lack of docs. Not a whole lot of CM's but that's as it's always been. a few more now I guess. In any case
I've primarily seen 5 classes out there. MBH/Rifleman/Pistoleer/MTK/Jedi A few others of course but those are the main ones.
I miss docs. I've always acted as a support class in healing. Sure I throw my DOT's out there but my primary role in group hunts is to heal & It's a drag that if you get DB'd your done for noone can rez you. too bad so sad. Boy I miss docs. (or just another CM)
. Even the support class needs a support class.
Sure we have to be smarter & not get DB'd. 1 way is to not use BactaSpray & be a little more conservative on your heals.
But when it gets rough & your healing yourself instead of the damage dealers in your selfish act of survival
well by then it's usually too late.
Just a general observation on the lack of Docs out there. It's unfortunate because even a support class needs to be supported. We have to be smarter & maybe I just need to find different groups to match up with. But jeez it sure would be nice to see the return of some docs or for that matter (this is going a bit extreme) merge CM and DOC & Migrate some of the other skills to the medic tree. I'm sorry meant no offense in that last sentence.
I'm not asking for anything from dev just making a general commentary on the lack of doc's out there. I don't think I'd trade my prof for anything (well for anything in galaxies). But it sure would be nice to see a few more healers & perhaps some more incentive to be one.
You may think this should be in the doc forum but this is about support classes being supported

I think that doc has become a dabbler skill. I know a lot of people who use their extra skill points in it after they have their double combat mastery. I think that's the new way of the "support" classes.A master will become more and more rare, but don't be suprised if that Bounty Hunter sticks himself with a bacta jab.

The new Docs are Jedi - for some reason SoE decided Jedi where not game breaking enough so they pretty much put all the old Doc stuff into various jedi skills. Sure you can still be a Doc but why would you?

Exactly. That's why there is no master docs anywhere. Why do wound healing, state healing etc, when the jedi can do it better. It's only a dabbler's art that you use to heal yourself (usually while hunting jedi)!

Yeah I know I know. It was more of a general comment phrased in a question intended as "rhetoric"...
jedi the new docs? Well yeah I must admit they do heal well. No complaints there.
Should a doc have better healing capability than they do now? Sure although I don't believe it's "that bad" now & it shouldn't be better than a jedi (imo). Besides a good hi combat class level stim will heal up and onwards of about 1200 plus and even in the novice tree you get bactaspray and 2 other heals (forget the names) which use is dictated only on available mind.
plus you can use enhancers and food to increase your healing ability.
But I digress, this was just a general commentary for a support class that I miss. Even if they did heal better not sure if it'd be incentive for people to get the skill. Personally I think Docs could use more in their arsenal.

Obviously not ... since they're talking about giving Jedi a Mind cost for healing and reducing Rifle speed.
