TIA
All npc creatures seem to be affected very little by snares in general. Also take in mind that if you are ranged you have a movement penalty already. There are exceptions to the rule and occasionally you'll get a creature that acts as if its been triple rooted...before you even applied it.
I've also noted that npc's both humanoid and creature seem to like to burst run or gallop to us alot.

it's a great snare.... and for those that say they don't notice a differince, try de-equiping that rifle you carry, it has the slowest run speed ![]()
Usually they get 2-3 hits on me though before I pull out of their range and start kiting.

Badger - are you using anything extra (like something BE'd) or just what comes with the ability?
Just the Improved Electrolyte Drain... I have 4/4/0/3 CM.
You can kill all melee mobs with this without getting hit, even the cl250+ Dark Jedi Master NPC's.
A typical combo for me as a Pistoleer is Warning Shot, Stopping Shot, run to 10m of the mob and put drain on. Then you have a couple of minutes of kiting before putting stopping shot back on to refresh the drain.
Ancient Krayts, Gorax, Katarn, GDK's... any mob with no ranged attack has no chance. ![]()

Thanks!
I am carb, but think I can play around with that enough to get it to work ![]()
Without stopping shot, you can use a probot combat droid to draw aggro while you run to 10m of the target with this macro:
Droid-Pull
/tellpet attack
/tellpet stay
You set your droid up about 100m away from the target and hit that macro, the mob starts to charge your droid and at 64m your droid starts firing. This is a big help as client/server sync issues can sometimes show the mob as being in the wrong place.
So, you can run forward and put drain on then run out of melee range and start attacking the mob, tell your droid to follow you (use a macro for /tellpet follow) and kite.
