Thread: Newb CU questions

Does CM require Disease Poison packs still to apply them? Or is it like doc now with their heals.. where it just uses up Mind (I'm aware stims are still in the game, but not a clue on what the state CM is in nor have I ever been a CM).

I hear Paralyze is great for 1v1's, this is true?

Whats the percentage on the Action and Mind Regen Debuffs? I heard force sap is 50% Regen reduction.. is CM's almost as good or better?

Is bacta toss on a shorter timer than Bacta shot? What about Bacta Spray?

and finally would you recommend Master Combat Medic over Master Doc? and why?

I was disappointed when reading the stickies on information regarding CM.. Heck I found more information in the pistoleer forum than here.

Really sad to see you CM guys in such bad shape (I understand the CU nerfed CM's to hell n' back?).

Final Comment, these questions are just here hopefully to get a better understanding of the profession as it is now.. I don't intend nor would I like this to start into a giant flame battle.

Deuterium Toss is the fire DoT and Neuroxoing is the Poison, you dont need packs for these, you just use the move when you get it. Infect is the disease but is currently broken and not worth using.

It prevents your target performing any action, even healing for the duration of the paralyze but breaks on damage, in PvP you can put this on your target and heal up then go back to blasting them.

Toss and Spray are on a 15 second timer, shot is on 9.

Do both! Dabble in both CM and Doc for best effect then get SEA's to get your mods up to that of master, use a cyber res arm to get the ability without investing skillpoints.

Nah, CM is really great, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I respec'd CM and I'm not really enjoying it as much as I was doc.. only had it for a hour so I'll give it more time of course.

I find it almost useless sometimes to throw on any dots, just doesn't seem to help because I could do 3x what the dots do while trying to apply them in the first place.. oh well.

I find DoT's are useful against Mobs with a lot of HAM and mobs that have fast regen. In PvP they are quite useful too. Most of the time they are not worth throwing as you can do a lot more damage with your gun in the time it takes to throw and tick.


But, if the fight is going to last a while you may as well throw them on for good measure.

plus the dot's piss Jedi off


useully when a jedi see's a dot stick on them, they realize they might actually die..... especialy when the fight starts off with a knockdown from 64m, then a root at 55m, then a damge shot at 35m, then a pralazye at 10m, followed by a shock, movment snare(can't rember name), slow, paralazye, back out to 34m, probably another root, then dot, dot, and move out


at least this is one that i have seen

dont remember... im MBH/MCM do i have any room to use skillpoints to get a root shot?

yes, you can get 1.2 trees of pistoleer i believe..... think i was MP/MCM and had enough to get 3010 in bh


but you can get a root shot from pistoleer, and make more jedi cry "Nerf Pistoleer"

i'd defo like to know what i can do as a MCM, cos right now i get so much aggro for backta toss and spray, tis daft, and any offensive CM skills dont seem todo anything, exept paralise which has saved me a few times when i'v been able to use it....anyways

Electrolyte Drain is great for snaring mobs and kiting them with impunity or keeping them off you while you run about a bit.
