Hi all! I just made combat medic on Starsider and have a short list of questions, considering the Galaxies manual and Holocron is somewhat light on details about the elite professions. Hope this isn't too noobish...
1) Does increasing your combat medicine range also increase the range at which you can apply poison/disease?
2) Does poison ever become useful in a fight? I tried a health poison A on an enemy that conned light blue to me, and it took 15 seconds to kill it for only 24 points of medical experience. I could have 1-shot him with my pistol. I realize that poison is supposed to be a supportive attack, but I'm worried that it will be unnoticeable against red cons unless the effects increase greatly at higher levels.
3) I hang out mainly on Tatooine. Can someone point me to a combat medic trainer in any of the larger cities (Bestine, Mos Eisley, Mos Espa)?
I've wanted to be a combat medic ever since the list of professions went up on the pre-beta website and am pretty psyched.
Thanks for the help!

Mos Espa and Mos Entha (spelling?) both have Combat Medic trainers in medical centers.

These are all very good quesitons. I have been angling towards Combat Medic (only about 2/3 to master medic so far) and I did this mostly because of the area heals and poisons.
Anyone have good news about the poisons yet?

1.) unless they fixed it, it does not increase anything. it is supposed to work for all CM made packs (Area, Ranged, Disease and Poison)
2.) yes it has uses, but only in very specific situations, like getting people out of certain buildings (hi Mr. Clonecentre Camper, bye Mr. Clonecentre Camper) but the main problem is the resist rates and Area packs not beeing area at all. to be honest i would have expected this question on Diseases, because in their current form they are a waste of resources ,)
