Thread: Experience Issue for Combat Medics on Imperial/Rebel Missions

When I go on faction missions, I, being a combat medic, focus most of my efforts on moving and healing those that are taking damage. Sadly, the amount of experience gained from an encounter is based on the amount of damage that is dealt during that encounter. So, where does that leave combat medics and other healers?
I am aware that in combat one must make a decision on whether to give full attention to combat or healing. But if a person were to choose the latter during a faction mission, does it seem fair that the individual would receive no faction points??
