Fairly new to the game, and am looking to the future of my character. Ultimatly, I want to be a Combat Medic, but I wonder: just what can I do with the skill points I have?

Which is to say, can I get my Pistol 4, master doctor, master combat medic, ranged support 4, and still have enough skill credits left to get some healing entertainment down?

Second, I play Zabrak: Are the default stats good enough? What do people reccomend in the way of twinking? What should I push my stats towards?

Pretty much you can only get 3 Masteries before you run out of points for the most part. If you get Master Medic and Master Combat Medic you could go with bits and pieces on other places. You'll just have to remember that you lose about 15 points to taking a new profession before you train in it at all, on the basic level of Entertainer, Medic, Marksman, Artisan, and Scout.

I use a Zabrak for my medic, I thought it would be a good idea for the high Willpower so that I can heal people longer and recover sooner. I didn't know that Medic's used so much mind energy, it was just a good guess from all of the MMORPG's I've played.

If you want to total up your potential I sugest picking up a calculator and start adding up the numbers for the things you want. When you run out of points and see things you still want, think about what you won't miss having maxed and go from there.

There is also a curve to the cost of skills from the basic level. It starts expensive and when you get higher it gets cheaper, and alternately hybrid professions and elite professions start cheap and get more expensive.

I hope that helps you get an idea of how to choose what you want.
