Combat XP is hard to accumulate. I have Rifle, Carbine and Pistol specialist and still dont have enought combat XP to get ranged support specialist. So I guess I have to go back and keep grinding away killing stuff. For combat XP go to corellia and kill slice hounds. Good XP there and you can solo them so you dont have to bother with a group.

How are the damage over time poision and disease? they even worth making? also how do you gather materials? are you also a surveyor?

Does it help in getting combat XP by using specials or does it not make a difference?

Fi'ak it makes no difference, the combat xp you get is 10% of the weapon xp you earn, so if you make 200 pistol xp you get 20 combat. its very slow for a medic, I got my novice pistoleer well before I made combat medic.

hmmm as for ranged combat..

Hiya all,

I am a medic also and have a a decent suggestion for all of you aspirirng combat medics. As soon as you can get or make stim B's head on over to Wayfar on Tatooine. I lil NW of the town is a tusken raider camp! There are always groups looking for medics so u will get in one quick.. jusy yell "medic looking for group!!!" i got a average of 242 pistol exp and 210 rifle exp for each kill. all u gotta do i help sinve everyone is shooting up the place and watch your combat exp go up . im already a pistol specialist and about 2k from rifle specialist ( i dont like carbine) and about 1/4 sone on ranged weapon support . It is a good exp place yet it is tuff.. my suggestion dont be dumb like some medics/ocots and go out fin the front line so u can get more exp. You will however get shot at by three tusken raiders.. tusken snipr has hit u for 42, 327.. tusken bantha has hit u for 500, 300.. you have been forc to prone,, dead,, all in a matter of 6 secs flat! So ssay back let your tougher buddies tear them up while u support (ranged wepon support. get it ). I guarntee it is th eway to go if u can survive the trip out there. u have to run to wayfar (no shuttle or starport ) and there are some red cons out there

I'm at tier 3 across the combat medic skill tree, but like a previous poster, I have slowed down a lot since making combat medic.

Since I started I was chanting the mantra, "heal heal heal, shoot shoot shoot, gotta be a combat medic..." heh.

Well, I made it, and then decided to stop and smell the roses for a while.

Currently at level3 on all the skills due to some downtime. Hope to be master sometime in the next few days. As for resource collection I have IV in artisan and surveying since this is basically a necessity with moving resources concentrations as well as the resources shifting themselves.

My experience with the poison/disease packs thus far has led me to believe that they have no practical use at this point in time. They require you to be close to your opponent, are easily resisted, and do not have a very good duration. This is just A and B levels however, hopefully they will become stronger as I gain more schematics. I'd also like to see them have the same range effect that the ranged stims have. That would make them far more useful. Perhaps some of them are I am not totally sure.

As for the ranged stims, I love them, very cool delivery method and very useful. The area stims are extremely useful in the large raids.

On a whole I do love the profession, even with its lack luster offensive med packs. I just hope they eventually take some time to look at the offensives and make some improvements. I hope that the first coorespondant to come out will make it a good point that these need a boost.
