Thread: Nearly master medic. should i become a CM?
a comment:
how would we know whether you should become a CM or not?
im not trying to be rude...
I just find these kind of posts amuzing...
Its a fun proffession for me, but I have no idea whether you or anyone else will enjoy it, so how can i give that kind of advise?
Some people REALLY dont like resource gathering and crafting, which consumes a huge amount of time and effort for CM and Doc. Some people only want enjoy PvE, which is ok as a CM if your in a decent group, but we suck solo unless you have mastered other combat skills. Some people dont want to master the proffession, and honestly you really have to in order to get the most out of it, unlike other proffessions.
However, if your into PvP, its a great proffession, of course it really needs a master to be effective. Its also a great proffession if you have lots of friends, since I am the equivalent of a dozen master Docs when it comes to damage healing with my area Stim C's
lots of things I can say that might convince you either way.
I can tell you why I like Combat Medic. I honestly feel like part of the team when throwing area heals for my group. I do not worry whether I get to shoot or not, usually I do, but I am running around healing people mostly, not really trying to kill anything, just helping with the overall damage. The only drawback to CM is not being able to revive. But if you are considering going both MCM and MDoc, then go MCM first. Leveling up as a MCM is quite the fun time, as you can usually earning massive med XP while on a group hunt. As far as PvP, well that is determined by how much you like PvP. I do not especially care for it, because it is boring. There is no point to it other then to just try to kill other people, you do not get to control anything, you do not gain anything of value. If there was a penalty for death I might partake in it, but right now, it is boring.
Oh, and being a combat medic gets pricey if you are trying to use the character offensively. Poison C's cost a good deal of credits per use, if you make them worthwhile. It is also resource driven, you will spend a good many hours looking for appropiate resources or obtaining credits for these resources. A PA makes being a CM much easier.
I like being a medic and im nearly master medic.
