Anyone can get the bonus for just crafting there...I freguently craft in a research center (Mos GEICO) and have come out with consistantly better result, I can't recal ever getting a critcal failure, and many times I roll Amazing successes. Overall result are better, generally with my supplies I was making C single poisons with an effectiveness of 249 and potency 107 and range 32 when I crafted outside of the city, but inside I was able to get to 271 effectiveness, 108 potency, and 32 range. But it is still pretty random as to getting great results, although I never got lower results inside the research center then my best results outside the reseach center.

well lucky you xytroncore i live in a research center and just got 4 crit fails in a row useing a 14.41 chem tool and 42.4 station. Seems to make no difference to me what so ever.

Wow...I have yet to roll a crit fail when in the research center...I only use a 13.72 tool and my crafting droid...

I believe you have to be a resident of the city to get any benefit from it, simply being in the city doesn't help.

i havnt seen any improvement in using a research center. made schematics for enhance packs once, didnt see a change in fails and the power/duration charge didnt budge and inch, i was sad "(. 15%? bah!
