Tummbling while the CM heals.

I dont really see this as an exploit because its just healing a damaged player. Some people say it is, others say it isnt.

Burning a Pet then healing it.

Again, this is just a medical pratice. You have a subject that is in need of healing, kinda like medical school. Exploit or a good way to earn exps?

Nope, not exploits. You will get more exp by using area poisons at fort tusken though.

I don't believe they are considered "exploits", meaning a bannable offense due to misuse of game systems, but they are defintiely using game systems in an unintended manner, and I mean that with the less-than-savory sneer associated with it, rather than the my-isn't-that-creative manner.

The tumbling method will likely go away completely in the next few months once the combat revamp is completed.

The pet wounding method... likely we may end up seeing us get no XP for pet wound healing since Pet Damage XP was taken away for pretty much the same reason.

Overall, though, those really are slow and not very fun methods for getting healing XP when you could get a LOT more XP and have a lot more fun just getting into a combat group as the dedicated healer and tossing out whatever DoTs you can while you're at it.

Zarlor, I couldnt agree with you more. They are slow and boring ways to earn exps but Im a Holo-Grinder. I got the game to play a Jedi and relized I would follow any system the Dev's create. But like most Holo's, this is'nt a profession I had any desire to play at all. I just want to get through it and keep searching for a fscs. I do agree that this profession should be played in another manner (through grouping) but those two methods above are steady and constant exps.

So are they exploits or just a Grinders method to Master another profession?

Well, as I stated, I do not believe they are considered Exploits in the worst sense of being a bannable offense. (I could be wrong, of course, but to the best of my knowledge it's not a bannable offense, bearing in mind that I don't work for SOE or anything so that's strictly an unofficial position based only onpersonal opinion.)

The Devs have known about this methodfor some time. If they were very concerned aboutit they could have lowered the HAM cost on the /tumble skills by now. Hell...120 HAM for a special that changes your posturewhile at the same time keeping you fromusing specials for several seconds? Those skills must have been intended for Carbineers or Pikeman.

Lol.

This has been mentioned many times. Nothing really has come of it.

I'm no holo grinder, and if you are, then do whatever mind numbing thing get you though it and onto your next profession.

However, I did not grind out a single box. It took a long time but it was fun the whole time...

My two cents is that it is expensive as well to grind out the medical profesion this way. You are not making any money and you are not looting anything. So you would realy have to want to grind this way. Although from experience I know that a single rancor can yield 25k of medical XP if dropped to 0 wounds. Well you also burn through several thousand in meds at the same time. Throwing poisens at tusken or finding a large group of MOBs to get to follow you and then hit them with a poisen while bunched isgreat XP.
