Thread: plz help a noobie out

ok i was considering doing combat medic so i would be able to heal mind. im not looking for poison or disease attacks. i just want to know what are the details on that and how often and how much can u heal mind for? what are the downsides? thanks

MInd heal is one of those good news/bad news kinds of skills. The good news is you can save your buddies necks in a fight if they are being mind hit. The bad news is that the heal rate is random as far as I can tell and you get wounds and battle fatigue every time you use it. It is also a pointblank skill,so unless you stay in a wad,you probably wont get to everyone in time to heal them.If thats not bad enough, there is a very real chance of self incapping yourself and getting DB'ed yourselfif you use it too many times in a short period of time. Nice,huh?

1) you need



  • master medic

  • marksman ranged support 4

  • combat medic ranged speed 4

2) you cannot mind heal yourself


3) by all accounts, the amount of mind healed is random. I have healed form 400 to 1800.


4) as of publish 9, there was no time limit on the delay for mind heal. I do not use it often enough to test it since publish 9.


5) using it at 0 mind wounds and 0 BF, the first time you use it will cause you 40 mind wounds in all 3 mind stats. Focus buffs (up to a focus of 2000+) will not lower this. Each use of mind heal ater this will increase the amount of wounds and BF caused until both are reset back to zero.


6) like all wounds, you cannot take more wound damage than your initial stats, before buffs. You also cannot take more wound damage than (initial stat-armor encumbrance)......for example, if your focus is 700 without buffs and you are weaing armor with a mind emcumbrance of 350, you cannot take more than 350 wounds in your focus stat.

If you are going to go out and heal alot of mind, bring an entertainer around and someone to make a camp so you can heal your mind wounds back up.

or get Tk 4000 for meditate.. another way to remove excessive mind wounds
