No, but they can heal them and get resistance to them if they choose those lines in their skill trees

In PvE, yes. In PvP, not really.
This is still a solid combo as even if your opponents have good doctor support, you can fall back on rifle.

Jedi with the third tree of enhancer get poison and disease resistance modifiers, and if they pick the fourth tree of healer they can cure poisons and diseases.

Rifleman and CM is such a great combo because after you poison and start spamming HS3 you'll freak them out. A novice PvPer will try to get their poisoned healed ASAP and not fully attack back.

Yea just depends on the jedi, most of the smart ones have pretty much negated us. And any decent pvp group has docs to counter us, so I spend more time being a doc these days. Still get to drop small groups or singles pretty easy. Our support abilities are a joke, doc does it all now.
