If anyone has had a chance to test the changes that are in P10 for us, please respond here with your impressions.

Using pre-patch poison B resist buffs 204 power:

against 210 pot poison C - 26 resists, 20 successes, 46 total throws

against 131 pot poison C - 27 resists, 19 successes, 46 total throws

Using post-patch poison B resist buffs196 power:

against 192 pot poison C - 28 resists,18 successes, 46 total throws

against 131 pot poison C -31 resists,15 successes, 46 total throws

I looks like they MAY have toned down the area cures. 288 power area cure Bs required 3 apps to cure the 131 pot 342 effect poisons. I honestly was not keeping track of the other poisons.

I will let somebody else test the area cures...almost 200 throws is ecough for me right now.

Well, the y did indeed cut the range on the area cures. The Cure Disease Area Cs that I maxed at 34m yesterday are 25m today.

I will be testing the effectivenss of the resistpacks next.

These numbers don't add up.

Also, did you test both of these after the patch, because my impression was not that they would change the crafted packs, but that they would change the resistance equation, so it would affect pre- and post-patch buffs equally?

If I recall correctly from testing before the patch, a resist B of around 200 power would resist a 130 potency poison about 4 out of 5 times, and a 205 potency poison about half the time.

This testing seems to indicate that the potency of the poison doesn't really make a big difference anymore (unless you meant 18 resists and 28 successes on the red line above)

Sorry, red should be 28 resists, 16 successes. All testing was done post patch

So now it really seems like there's no benefit to experimenting on potency

I did some area cure testing. They seem to have been adjusted as promised. I used a 339 effectiveness poison (678 tick) against 2 different area cures.

Cure 1: Cure Poison Area B, effectiveness: 261

First application: tick reduced to 417

Second application: tick reduced to 156

Third application: cured

Cure 2: Cure Poison Area C, effectiveness: 597

First apllication: tick reduced to 81

Second application: cured

It falls right in line with how we were told they would work. The effectiveness of the cure is subtracted from the damage, until it gets to 0 (cure). When these cures first went in (9.3) I could cure that same poison with one application of the same area cure B I used here. This is definitely better.
