Thread: How about a UI window that lets you see the DoT's effecting your target?

Just something I thought of, figured this is as good a place as any to stick it, may well have been brought up before.
When you stack a load of poisons on a target, unless you know your poisons inside and out you dont know when the first one has worn off and needs to be reapplied.
I figured it would be nice to have something akin to the Modifiers Window (the one that shows you all your buffs) but for your target and it shows DoT's the MOb or player is suffering from.
May even be something for CM's only... and you can view all the different poisons, bleeds and diseases on a target and get the strength, duration and tick time via a mouse over on an icon in the window.
Or if not a UI window, something like the /diagnose window that you can pull up.
Any thoughts, I'm not even sure this would be technically possible.

I know, as a player, having this info on myself would be nice....for instance is that bleed that the NS put on me a 50 tick health or a 300 tick mind that needs immediate firstaid.....This should be available for view if a: you applied a dot, you can see the dot on another target (not all dots pending there) and all dots that have been applied to you.
Perhaps a mini-status bar or some such....it would be hard not to make it more distracting than informative, but that's what we pay these guys for.

That makes it more relevant actually, perhaps you could just have a HAM colour co-ordinated number under the DoT icon on your HAM bar that tells you what you're about to tick for.

Yes, Timers are desperately needed for poisons and disease.
When I throw 6 poisons on one attribute on a high-level NPC, I want to know :
1. If my poison is still ticking, or if that is a fellow CM's poison ticking, or another players weapon poison
2. The timers on each poison I throw for Single Poison C, Area Poison C, Single Poison B, Area Poison B, Single Poison A, Area Poison A
As for now, I use a stopwatch on my wristwatch. But I eventually end of overlapping poison and disease time periods when I solo high-level mobs. I can't keep track of the start times for 6 or more DoTs.
Come on Devs.

I was thinking of having a:
/ui action toolbarPane05
/ui action toolbarSlot05
/ui action toolbarPane00
/pause 120
/tell praecor throw HAPC again
command on all my poison throwing macros, but I /dump so often that I'd lose it.
Or maybe a macro that does :
/ui action toolbarPane05
/ui action toolbarSlot05
/gu throw more Health Poison C in [blah] seconds
/ui action toolbarPane00
Sometimes I can judge what I've thrown from the amount of medical xp I get, but when capped I miss that little indicator.
With the amount of lag about these days, stacking poisons and diseasesis pretty hard work especially when you queue up a stack and the lag turns it into "You must wait to...".
You dont really know what was thrown, especially as the first couple of stims and the last one tend to get lobbed and the rest get skipped, it just means I end up repeating myself quite often.

I'll bring this up in the Corr forum.
Good idea, to my knowledge this is the first time this has been suggested.

Excellent idea, I have to keep a notepad and calc handy, so I know when to reapply. It is a pain....lol
