should i try to build on "effectiveness" to help me? or what?

Effectiveness is the stat directly related to how much your poisons will tick for.
So.. if you are interested in doing more damage with your poisons, its a good idea to experiment with effectiveness.
The math behind the madness:
(poison effectiveness) * (1 + (CM effectiveness) / 100)
So if you are a MCM your poisons tick at: 2 X Effectivness of poison
If you are 4004 CM (75 Combat med use) your poisons tick at: 1.75 X Effectiveness of poison.
So thats what "effectiveness" does.
Yes it is good.
Yes it works.

yup good post thyrd,
So if u have a poison for 100 damage, and u have a cm effectiveness of 75 your poisn will tick for 175
