Thread: Combat Medic vs. Doctor
HI there,
Well, you retired from doc for a reason, right? So you should give CM a try.....why not do it now, before it gets nerfed?

(Hey I LIKE being a doc, but everyone needs a change.....)

I dropped it because I wanted to be TKM/Rifleman, but after getting Rifleman I saw how trashy and unskillful TKM was.
I want a PvP support profession now, to back me up.
Doc can buff ME, Combat Medic can kill MY OPONENTS.
Tough decision.
Isn't Combat Medic easier to master (takes less xp than doctor)?
That's a moot point, it takes just as long to master CM as it is to master Doctor.
What you want to focus on however is 'What do you want to accomplish with your template and how are you going to use your template most effectively"
There are several ways to achieve great PvP and PvE template, but it varies on how much self relience or dependence you want.
In-order to operate effectively by yourself and be able to comeback and fight effectively, a template with this layout is a good choice.
Master Rifleman / 4/3/4/0 Doctor /0/4/0/0or 0/0/0/4 CM
That template gives you the ability to buff yourselfeffectively and quicly to return to combat readiness and gives you the option of either mind heal with0/4/0/0 CM or give you TerrainNegotiationand simplified poison ability with 0/0/0/4 CM. However, you must have clothing with +25 wound treament so you can further enhanceyour cure poison/disease ability andthetotal amount that you can buff.
Here is another template that youmay want to consider.
Master Rifleman / 4/0/4/0 Doctor / 3/0/0/4 CM
This template gives you the ability to cure poison/disease and states but also give you and extended poison and disease ability. However, again, you must use +25 wound treament clothingotherwise your cure effectiveness is lowered overall. This template does not give you the ability to buff yourself, so if you die in PvP, then your effectiveness will be drastically reduced due to the lack health and action HAM and substats. But I am in a large PvP group that consists of multiple 4/4/4/0 doctors and therefore I do not worry about getting re-buffed.
So overall, that's my thoughts to share with you, take what you want or experiement however you see fit. Best of luck.
