Hi, i'm nearing the time that i will drop master chef and become CM/Fencer, and i was wondering what the best complements to PvP and PvE would be. Should i just use health poison since fencer hits health? Or should i use disease as well?

Also, i would like to know a few things about the packs themselves.

How often does poison/disease pack tick, and does it depend on how good the packs are?

Whats the average damage of a good pack, disease/poison?

What types of resources are used in making them, because i have tons of organics left over from chef

What stats are important in resources and what do the stats translate into in the pack? Example: OQ in organics determines the nutrition in food.

I use mind cause you can't buff mind as high usually. If you stack aea and ranged poision's and diseases than it will do crazy amt of damae in a very short period of time. You won't be able to master both fencor and cm Just so you know.

If you take a quick look at the thread "CM guide or FAQ?", it should help you get started. To answer your questions though:

- Unless you have a particular reason to target a pool, target the pool you are most likely to incap the victim with if you didn't have poisons with your poison.(For example, if fences target health, then use a health poison.) Otherwise, your poison and disease damage is "wasted"

- For the most part, use poisons and not diseases against NPCs. Most mobs will be dead by the time the disease ticks twice, making it not worth it. However, against "strong" mobs, if the battle wears on long enough, the disease damage will add up (especially as diseases cause battle fatigue, which in turn causes disease to do more damage). If you expect the fight against an individual creature will go on for more than 5 minutes, I'd personally say go ahead and throw a disease too, but that's just me.

- I believe that poisons first tick at 10 seconds, and then every 6 seconds after that. I believe that diseases first tick at 40 seconds and tick every 12 seconds after that. The tick speed is pack quality independent. However, I do not have the numbers in front if me. If you check any nerf thread which references numbers or damage per second, you can find the real numbers

-On a relatively good (not excellent), non-loot drop poison or disease, you can expect ticks of (with no combat medic effectiveness skill:

1) Individual poison: 310

2) Area poisons: 210

3) Individual diseases: 120 (I think, I haven't used recently)

4) Area diseases: 95

- A fairly comprehensive resource list is mentioned in the thread I mentioned. However, organics, you are most interested in insect meat and fungi

- For which stats are important, it depends on what you want. Overall quality is the single most important factor. After that, potential energy (for poison strength), or decay resistance (for duration). The vast majority of people consider strength (potential energy) the more important of the two.
