Distance loses a few meters. You can't use Area C poisons or diseases.
And the effectiveness drops, so the damage your poisons and diseases do drops by about 1/4. Speed doesn't seem to be effected. Novice CM and Master CM throw at basically the same rate. :/ But you won't have /healmind if you drop the 2nd column.

I have tried both and going full master outweighs trying to dabble, its not worth trying to dabble in combat medic unless youre going straight PvE, and even then you could benefit way more from master than just 4xx4. Also try one of the charachter builders, it will let you see what you would get from different templates. Also there is the TC-Ahazi and bria servers with the test which templates you want. I would go log onto one of them for a few days and find what works best for you.

If you're going to craft your own stuff, then Master is a must. If you're going to buy the poo you wanna fling, then getting AoE-C packs with CMU/Skill = 75 will work just fine. For PvP, even a master might consider using the CMU/Skill=75 items, since the potency will be higher.
There's a lot of 4004 folks now ![]()

To be more accurate on damage, at 75 effectiveness, you lose 12.5% of actual damage. Instead of 2.00 times listed power, you do 1.75 times listed power, which is only a 12.5% drop in damage.
75 Combat medic use also causes you to lose some additional damage on area C poisons. Single target poisons aren't affected at all, but you will need to get specially made area Cs to get them down to 75 CM use. A 12-point combat medic with good resources should be able to make 230 power master CM area poisons that go to about 200 power when experimented to 75 CM use. That's another 13% drop in damage. This isn't all bad since CM use and potency are on teh same line, you will have gain potency which is desirable now anyway.
So for normal single target poisons, you will lose 12.5% of damage.
For normal area poisons, you will lose around 25% of damage (but gain potency)
For loot area poisons, you will lose somewhere between 12.5 and 25% (since the loot just adds onto the damage, the percentage difference is less).

In the past there was a significant difference in range but the dev's messed that one up when they tried to fix the 96m range bug. Now the difference isnt' all that great.
You do take a decent hit to your damage though and loss of the ability to use decent area C's is nothing to laugh about either. You'll always have to buy your poison/diseases from a MCM which can lead to something akin to drug dependency withdrawl syndrome when there is a particular shortage or a CM resource and your usual sellers aren't willing to part with their stash.
There really ought to be a difference in speed between novice and master but unfortunately there isn't. You cap somewhere along the medic trees.
