Levelling your character is the most fun this game tends to offer most of the time. I've got full template characters on several servers (see my sig) and some of them I haven't even touched in a while since they're already masters.

Only other real exciting thing to do besides dwb and vette is to hunt Jedi padawans. Matter of fact I think I'll kill some FS pads tonight.

Well it happened again. I logged in this evening with the SOLE intent of running as many Giant Baz Nitch missions as I could so I could take all those credits and place them into the maintenance of my houses.

Went to Corellia, got buffed, hopped the shuttle, landed at the Science Outpost, grouped with my droid, took two missions to the North and headed out. I did pretty well with my first mission. I only stopped to destroy one Ancient Reptilian Flyer lair. Those suckers just keep spawning and spawning and spawning! Great XP so I could not pass it up.

Finished the first mission…then got distracted by a Malloc lair. Must have spawned 18-24 critters for me to poison and pound to a pulp. But WAIT, I have another mission to complete. Finished off the lair and jumped on my bike (I really wanted to run the 1.7k meters, but I knew I would never make it to my second mission with all the fun on the way) and much to my HAPPY surprise there were two Enraged Rancor standing right next to my mission! LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

At any rate I DID manage to get 6 missions completed before I totally became engrossed with just finding out exactly how many things I could agro at once and still survive.

Capped my Med XP again and ended up with something like 800k unarmed (starting from the 27 I had left over from the last conversion). There is NO WAY I can look at this new system as a grind. I am having more fun playing the game now than I have ever had in the past. Perhaps a large part of it is my character build. I find TKM / CM the PERFECT combination for the way I play the game. I know there are ‘better’ and more powerful templates, I have built many, many of them on the free-for-all servers. Nothing is more fun to me than the build I have now.

Earlier today I went to the village to exchange some of the XP I had earned last night for FSXP. There was a doc there buffing and while it had not been in my original plan I though “what the heck, she is RIGHT HERE”, so I paid my 10k to get buffed.

I though I might go to one of the outposts to start running Giant Baz Nitch missions to recoup the money I just spent (at 11k a pop I really only needed to run one), but as I was heading back to the Science outpost I started noticing all the red dots all over the place…TONS of them. So I jumped off my bike and started running rather than using a speeder.

One agro, then another and another…before I knew it I was tossing area C poisons like a mad man, kicking tail with my TKM skills and having fun. REAL FUN!! Lair after lair, Rancors, Maloks, Gaping Spiders, Reptilian Flyers, it did not matter any more, I was just attacking the lair to get as many baddies out as I could and then tossing area Cs combined with area Bs, Unarmed Spin Attack 2, Unarmed Hit 3 and a HEALTHY dose of Unarmed Hit 2 (still my all-time favorite) and the next thing I knew I had capped my Med XP at +80000.

I ran back to the Village killing everything in my way (my cheeks hurting from smiling so much) and exchanged all my XP. I then proceeded to run back out into the wild and exhaust yet another round of area Cs and Bs and again before I knew it, I capped my Med XP again! +80000 This all took place over the course of about an hour and a half, maybe two hours. Not record time I know, but I was on foot, NOT on a speeder trying to pack as many Jaunta and Mokk missions into the time allotted by a set of buffs. I was enjoying the game, fighting everything I could handle (and even some I was not so sure I COULD handle) and having more fun than I have had in quite some time.

There is something to be said for forgetting about hording credits, and forgetting about ‘grinding XP’ and forgetting the timer on your buffs and just losing yourself in the experience of playing your character. The character (hopefully) you created because you thought your final ‘template’ would be as fun as you could make it.

As for me? Endor is next on my list of ‘get lost and find the fun’ locations

Damn you Neo, You've found out the secret of really playing this game and made us others look like fools.

Five stars

My local RL mission terminal stopped paying out when I logged in and displayed a "account overdrawn" error message.

Will this be fixed after server reboot or do I have to wait for the devs to patch it?

Can we expect a hotfix to the spawn rates of Rancor lairs in my neighbourhood?

And how do I clear the bounty that I got from looting some low level thugs that aggroed me the other day? (My usual luck, none of them had crystals)

Took me six weeks of grinding the Persuasion tree to get the girlfriend to wear the Leia metal bikini.

I'm a MonCal. So when I popped out of the closet wearing the Ackbar costume and yelled "IT'S A TRAP!", I figured it'd be fine. Little did I know she was Jedi and took off with Forcerun 3.

And now it looks like I can't even reroll. This RL game is teh sux!

You don't need to be a Jedi to forecerun away from a Mon Cal coming out of the closet

I think the problem with re-rolling is annoying. I've been on this server for 30 years now and still to date no one has heard of any spawn of Eleton or Tolium.

I mean How am I suppoesed to function as a CM under these circumstances?

Apparently there was a con in Geneva where a dev wrote up a paper that deemed all CM specials as exploits, and players who use 'em as subject to bannination.
