i just got the glowy, and im in such a toss-up on which of my to classes to start dropping points from. I'm a Master Pistoleer/CM, and have never deviated from either profession. and now kowing if i want to get more content, i'll have to drop one of the 2 professions If anyone could help me on pointers, it would be very much appriciated.

I'm posting the same thing on the CM board.

I dont know the answer to that one,

But for me it would depend on whether or not i was going to be using a Lightsaber soon or not, I f i was then i would start dropping pistoleer since the saber would more than likely be your main weapon. If not i would say start dropping CM and just go dabbler for the time being.

But i think you can keep your current template and just gain as much FS xp you can before dropping anything. Once your maxed out on FS xp you can get then make the decision of which to drop, with which boxes you opened and augment your guy that way.

Goodluck on your decission, tough one.

Neither, FS isn't worth it unless your doing jedi.

Do you craft your own CM supplies?

i do craft myown, and havea huge stockpile of old stuff. i was thinking of going jedi since this charc (bradimere) is over15 yrs old, and has always been the "paladin type" in every game. so the progression forwanting jedi is there. andit also adds something to do. i havent recieved any xp since before last december of 03.

just bank all the FS XP you can.. and don't give it up till you're ready to spend the skillpoints

and don't spend the skillpoints till you're ready to do it all at once..

the FS skilltrees aren't particularly good when compared to the regular skilltrees..

as CM/pistoleer you have 2 or 4 skillpoints leftover.. (4 i think but going from memory here)
i'd spend those on the FS defenses.. and wait till i had the rest of the XP to get the '6 lines' of FS skills you need for unlocking purposes

So why the hell are they always getting themselves into flame wars??

Yep four sp left.

I went Marksman 1144 when I had maxed out everything else at Master CM/Master Carb I clearly remember that.

So I'd say somerandoms suggestion is the best. put four boxes towards the defense of your choice. And just hoard FS XP and see if you get tired of the grind. (1000 Combat Prowress and counting. having spent untold millions of XP in the grinder)

Well, if you truly want to be able to grind xp for the FS skills, it depends on which you think is easier to get.

Is pistol xp easier, or is medic xp easier.

And, it depends on what FS skills you want as well.

If you stick with your pistoleer, you can get ranged and melee accuracy and speed. (melee will help a tiny bit when you're a jedi) and you can get ranged/melee defenses (which will help as a jedi)

If you keep medic and grind through the boxes pertaining to medic xp, you will find yourself doing skills that won't help as a Jedi very much.

I think medic xp is 100x easier to get, but you will find that most of your new FS skills won't be very useful as a Jedi.

Either way, congrats.

You could drop down to 4004 without noticing much, but you would have a problem if you ran out of supplies.

Luke gave it all up to become a Jedi. It's the way of the Force . *Ahem...* enough Ob-isms. I guess a better question would be, what do you plan on doing with your Jedi?

We don't have time to discuss this in a committee.

I was master pistoleer / Master CM and ended up going down to CM 4004. I use my CM to poison and disease so dont need the mind heal, etc. No difference in toss speed but I can only throw singles as my CM med use is only 75. Still worked effectively and keeps me alive sometimes in PvP. . .
