Thread: CM Effectiveness
So If I'm thinking the wrong way pls corret me if not any hints why we only get a 90 instead of 100 ( 100 looks so much better for me

It's the bonus that is applied to the poison/disease effectiveness you use.
X = CM Effectiveness
Y = Base Effectiveness of the poison you use
Z = Max Damage
(1+ X/100) * Y = Z
So a 4404 CM using a 300 base poison would do 525 damage a tic with that poison as opposed to a Master CM who would do 600 a tic. Same formula applies to range btw
(1+.75) * 300 = 525
So someone with a weapon can have a speed increase and a damage increase for 25 points each, but we can't get a single damage increase?
I suppose it would be too much to ask that maybe we could get a speed increase on our dots. What about experimenting on speed of poison, ala weapon speed?
Seems like a reasonable request.

And they can buy a power-up to make their attack even more powerful.... C'mon give us CMs some lovin ![]()

Small extra questions ....
Do the +CM effectiveness tapes add the the "X" factor in the formula above? If so, can you get from +75 to +100? Can a Masterget to +125?
I've seen posts saying that there is a hard cap of +100, which would mean tapes & necklaces are useless to MCM folks.
I'm curious, since i have some +effectiveness & +ranged speed, but haven't explicitly tested their effects.
Sincerely,
Effectiveness is, at the least, hard capped at 100. I have not had the ability to test it with a non-master CM. I have heard it both ways about under 100, more often than not people report that the effectivness works under 100.
It's any easy thing to test, since effectiveness has a direct effect on damage. Use the same poisons stime, once with and once without the clothing then see how the damages compare.
