Combat Medic Archive

Ok, so I just started picking up doc skills (plan to be 0-4-3-0 doc). I have two cargo pockets in my inventory to try and keep things organized (one for doc, other for CM meds). All resources go into my backpack (which I always wear).

Here is the thing... but it seems to me that I can pull a med from my CM pocket and put it on the toolbar, and it works fine. I do the same with normal stims or other doc products, and I get "no valid medicine found." Why would this work with CM meds but not doc meds???? Or maybe it's that I DON'T have the items linked directly from my pack into the toolbar, like I do the CM meds?

Has anyone else here had similar experiences?
