Combat Medic Archive
Thread: Farewell to all.
Well, I handed away my worldly possesions last night and logged out of SWG for the last time.
Everyone has their reasons, things that are important to them....mine came yesterday in some RL work issues that will limit my time, a pending baby who will defnitely need my time, and a realization that the balance and tactical, group-based balanced PvP I've hoped to see in this game since day 1is realistically still 6 months away.
This is a good game, and a wonderful profession. The game will survive and thrive, though I just won't be here to see it happen. I've enjoyed the thoughtful discussions I've had with each of you here on this forum, even with those who don't want nerfs. It's my hope that when the dust settles in a couple of months that you all do remain combat medics, even as the game tries to find a meaningful role for everyone. I am confident this class will never be related to a ranged stim pez dispenser.
My thanks in particular to Kavedawg and Zarlor for their excellent work, as well as to all the other regular posters who through sometimes contentious threads helped to find truth as well as what our vision was to be.
Farewell, and rest assured the avg word count per post is about to drop significantly ![]()
Jacore
Hopefully we'll see you back around these parts once the SE is released and you find yourself with a bit more free time
Safe journey to ya
Congratulations on the baby! Boy or girl? And is it your first? If it is let me tell you your life is going to turn upside down! I have three little rugrats myself and I can't imagine (or remember) life without them. You have some wonderful days ahead of you...
IF you ever decide to come back once life settles down, please drop us all a line.
Jacore, thanks for all of your thoughtful and insightful posts. And congrats on the baby.
Good luck and take care.
Take care Jacore, your insight and ability to express your ideas were a great help to me as a Correspondent. The person to take my place will be at a loss without your understanding of the profession, and your words of wisdom. My best wishes for you and your family
