Combat Medic Archive

I just unlocked my free toon, wondering what is the best species for a Combat Medic/Rifleman.

I have always played a mind maxed human, but I know that other species can have really good mind stats. Any ideas?

mon-cal's have the best mind stats I believe. However, I was unable to find a web site to quote numbers.

Humans by far. They can migrate their stats as high as 1k before armor encumbrance. With a music buff that doubles to 2k. They can choose that buff or get by on 2 brandies easily. Humans are the ones who can get their MIND pools up to 4k with the regen substats to match. It also gives them free reign to wear the heaviest armor out there with few consquences.

I can't tell you the effort and stomach space I have to go through to get my zabrak's focus up to 1500. Where as a human can forego the brandy and ahrisa to instead fill themselves up with other stuff like ithorian mist, vercupii, mulitiple synthsteak, etc. And most humans are ignorant to the advantages they hold over us poor noobs who wanted to be something different when we first created our characters.

Hmmm, interesting. I would think a Mon Cal would be better, or an Ithor. I guess I need to experiment. Thanks for the input.

I could not find the stats of the new races.

I seem to recall humans getting a tweek sometime ago that may make the stats listed above not accurate for them. The others are correct to the best of my knowledge.

i would like to believe that def vs dizzy/stun/intimidate would be helpful to you but anyway humans have the best minds. moncals can have 1300 mind but800 max for will and 650 max for focus. ithorians should have the same mind stats as a moncal but they have better innate abilities. they have 10 melee def, def vs stun and dizzy.

Ithorians have the highest main pool, but both their secondaries cap at 650 I believe. Also, they have to wear special armor, so you probably won't be able to shop at just any armorsmith.
