Generally I consider myself ore of a healer CM than a poo-slinger. Don't get me worng, I make sure I go in loaded for anything, but generally I'm too busy keeping my group alive to go on offense.
Just a few stories I thought I'd share with you.
From the DWB last tuesday night (Tempest):
We were on our way to the crafting room, after the huge battle in the mines.
Panicawa of course was in the lead and he'd started running a few seconds before everyone. I note that he's in combat and taking damage. He's 53 meters ahead of me and taking turns like mad. I can't burst run becauseI'll get caught on the turns, so I hope my terrain negotiaiton will do the trick and start spamming f4 (ranged Stim E: Difinitive, so Danison, at least you had something to do with this raid), but In keep getting the "Target Out of Range" message. I'm watching the range close and watching Panic's ham bars drain into white. I thought I lost him. Then, when he had no visible health and almost no visible action, I closed the last steps of the range. 0 HA to Full HA and he didn't even drop from incap.
I don't know if Panic even noticed, or if he was just repeating "come on Let get a move on!"to himself or on ventrillo but I knew I had saved him.
A few raids earlier (I have a group that I DWB with on a regular basis), our regular group leader Pizayne decided to do the Foreman's quest. He left us all in the safe room and went off to do his thing,he ordered us all to stay put. I was watching his HAM, he was pretty quiet, no onein chat seemd to notice anything,see him taking lots of damage and burst run out to find him. Took me a min or so, got lost one. Finally found where he was right as he wnet incapped (no DB tho) I stood over him hitting him with stims and mind heal and said "Get up you big rug!" Then I proceeded to follow him in circles around the quest room while SBDs chased us and healing both of us. He very rightly has said that he couldn't have finished it wihout me.
Another one came from last night. I was with a group taking out bases. We were at a PvE Field Hospital. There were only 8 of us maybe in the group. Timer was going, but we got caught up in a nice little melee near the exit. Now, like most of you I can tell whem mygroupmates' armor has gotten busted.
Me: Turk, your chest is f***!
Turkofett: I know, I'll survive.
Me: You're da**ed right you will, but you're gonna waste all my stims doing it!
Aside from that, I think I'm going to macro the following phrases:
"GET IT OFF OF ME!"
"Don't you run from me (targetname)!"
I'm sure many of you have been in similar situations, please, share them.

I haven't been to the DWB. It hasn't really interested me all that much. It seems like thats the only place where a large group is needed now.
I do have a couple fond memories of healing people in places like the crystal caves on Dantooine before buffs and 80-90 comp armor. I don't remember exact quotes since it's been so long.

Oh no....PvE Detatchment HQs are a large group knida place. The npcs there are pretty tough (at least fomr an imperial perspective) I went with a really large and experienced group last night and it was pretty touch and go.

Ah, sorry for misreading it. I thought they were all stories from the DWB. My point still stands that there aren't many spots where a CM is required. If they go without armor (or it breaks) thats another story

Those base npc's are brutal now. SInce we tend to hit them daily, I couldn't keep up and we had to get another mcm. It is still tough and thats with master healer jedi to back us up. Tons of fun tho, those npc's hurt us more than the imps defending do. Last night we hit a SF Detch HQ, 4 large turrets manned by the DJK inside. I never did know how many guys were in that base, 4 or 5 jedi I remember. We had 4 jedi and the base support crew and me. While the jedi trashed the turrets, we got an npc to aggro at the door, I stacked areas on it hitting those inside. Kept them busy and wasting force to heal it while we took the turrets, then we rushed em. It was wild in there, like 20 ppl fighting in the door of the base and those elite npc's all over us. All I, and our other cm weredoing was standing and tossing areas and spamming mind heal. We got em all, but without2 cm's there we would have definitly lost a few. We knocked off 14 or 15 bases in that run, mostly all hq, and a few were SF. When both of us cm's finally ran out of stims, we were crushed by npc's.
Basically, even with a full group, including some docs and 5 jedi in the end, it was the cm's who kept things going. I love it
