Thread: BE Crafting CM Supplies

I am working towards becoming a CM. However, the one thing that worries me is that I have heard BE's will do CM's crafting poisions and diseases. Is this true? If it is true is there any other medicinal items the BE will be able to craft, instead of us? (Like Doctor's stims, medic supplies, other CM stuff)

I hope we're not 100% reliant on BE's for CM Stims and Poisons. I went master CM to be able to craft my own poisons and not have to pay absurd amounts of money for ones I am capable of creating at a fraction of the cost, while achieveing similar, if not better results.

PvP Quality Poisons on Eclipse run in the millions for singles. You can count on 1 hand the number of good CM vendors in the galaxy. I craft for myself now and I hope the majority of CM crafting remains that way.

From what I can make out of the vague information given, BEs will be relied upon for crafting of both Doctor and CM. The extent I don't know, could be components, could be complete items.

CM and doc will lose all crafting capabilities, SOE seems to divide the professions into crafting and combat classes, maybe because it is easier to balance. Doc and CM were hybrid professions having both, therefore the crafting is moved _completely_ to Bio Engineer. There will be no crafting at all in CM and doc anymore from what I understand. If you want to craft, take up the BE skill trees needed - skill point re-distribution will be your friend.

That will be strange, glad I have my own master be, because I wouldn't want to give good venom and stuff to someone else and have to rely on them to craft them properly. But at least it will give BE's something to do.

Well that sounds like something you could do withhealing (you heal for xx amount without enhancer, xx amount with), but would that also apply to poisons and diseases? Wish they would let some more info go soon.. all these speculations!!

Something they do? They already make a KILLING selling stuff to chefs and tailors.

Only because there aren't that many of them. If a guild grinds out a be you can fix that problem. I don't sell anything on my be, I take some donations sometimes. All I ask is someone get the resources, I'll even tell them what works, and I just make a schematic for them. These guys charge high prices because we let them. I keep our guild tailor and chef stocked, and they keep me stocked. Same with weapons and armor, I freely give my loot to the smiths, and they make sure I am well equipped. My alt is a tk/be, I make the stuff and get loot, and on my main md/mcm, I don't charge for buffs, and my guildies make sure I am well supplied in those. SInce I do alot of fighting with them, they give me all janta blood, bile and venom they loot. Funny thing is everyone still has money, because I don't use much and the vendors do very well.


Get in a well run city/guild and things run really smooth You get a crew that helps each other out on everything it all works out in the end. You never see our guild ppl selling junk on the trade forums, we just pass it around between each other.

give BE's something to do? heck look at the absurb prices they make chefs pay...and SOE says they want to make the economy go down...this is only gonna make it go up
