I may have missed some of this discussion so if I have please fill me in. If the poison stops at 1 HP then this will effectively render it useless in PvP. I have lots of experience in PvP and this causes great concern for my abilities in PvP. I can understand the fix for PvE but that seems to be an easy fix rather than the right fix. So is this something that is already live on the Test Center? If so...Kavedog can further the discussion with topic and its ramifications on PvP with the devs and I would like to say that I am one Combat Medic that does not support this change. I hope other will voice the opinion and I hope that most Combat Medics will support me in this issue.

yes it is on TC now and there have been voices for it and against it. I have passed on all the concerns with this change when the idea came up and when it was put on TC. I can always post your opinions to the dev so feel free to voice it.

If this goes live i will cancel my account immediately. I bought a second account solely for the purpose of PvPing and created a Doctor/Combat medic. Can someone tell me one real reason why this would be a good change? No other damage type in the game stops at 1 hp. Fire doesn't even have a cure besides running into some water. With my TKA i can solo the entire galaxy yet get kited like none other in PvP. I shell out another damned 50 for another game and 15 more a month and get asked to bend over. This is not acceptable. There has to be a better solution.

Shrug while I don't agree with it, I certainly won't cancel my account. I'll simply add a health shot into my PVP strategy as the +1 HP rule won't effect that. I'll develop new strategies to counter this. I'll start using strongeraction poison and use the +1 HP rule to my benefit now that I can toss on disease while this person can't perform a special on me and I can keep kiting.I'll send in a durni pet to humiliate-incap them dancing on their bodies that my little itty bitty bunny took them down. I'll find a way to challenge these nerfs every time they come and I'll come out ahead. In summary this won't prevent the inevitable from happening, which is the Combat Medic winning. I have no problems being a red-headed stepchild class to SOE. I played a bard for 4 years in EQ and dealt with VI's nerfs without any problem. Bring it on...

so do i have to become a master marksman now to throw poisons? that way i can do any kind of bleed? or do i just hope for the best that my cdef gun will actually hit the same ham pool that i poisoned?

I really don't see the horrific rammifications of this. I mean you may joke that you hope your cdef pistol hits the same ham pool but you forget that no matter where you hit 10% of your damage goes to the other two pools so if you can manage to squeeze off 1 little hit you're golden.

Obviously there is that gaping whole in the PvE situation. I mean just tonight I saw a bunch of rebels at an imp converted base just running around mind poisoning everything and grabbing the loot without getting even a scratch. Now while this may not be the ideal solution it's hardly the end of the world.

you only get looting permissions if you get the last hit in on an enemy. every combat profession there is can dish out damage on npcs faster than combat medics. Every single one.
