...Love that line, btw.

Anyway, we all know this game has some pretty serious balance and game design issues. Beating up on each other is not going to get our issues resolved to our satisfaction.

Kavedawg and Zarlor have done good things for us. I do think the issue of the +1pt HAM on poisons was ill conceived and not what I would have liked, but untilwe all try it, we are just supposing it is a huge nerf-bat when it might be more of a nerf-baton or nerf-flyswatter.

Remember it is just on TC and aside from stealth fixes (and nerfs) it probably won't hit live for awhile unti lthe next big patch.

And even if it hits the Live Servers, things have a habit of floating in and out of them too. Not like just because it made it to Live that it has to remain there.

I believe in being vocal, but I don't believe in running around screaming that the sky is falling when it was only some plaster from the ceiling.

Personally, I believe this debate all goes back to the question of what is our role? Are we meant to be a mainline combat class? The amount of ranged support we have to take helps that theory a bit. Riflemen, Pistoleers and Carbineers don't even have to have that difficult line and yet they are mainline combat classes. Plus, we are a hybrid class and need to expend many skill points to reach our Master positions. ( I need to recount but I believe someone said we use the second most amount of points to hit our mastery? I concede this point in advance if I am incorrect) Are we only meant to be a support class and what combat skills we have are only meant to "soften" up the opponents to the benefit of the mainline combatants to mop up? If so, there is a big difference in "not intended" or "not usually" able to finish off opponents with the skills in your class vs "not able to by design".

I don't support the +1pt HAM on many levels, btw.

Who would support it with the exception of the tactless zerg fightingers who love to stand 40 people within 10m of each other?

It's the worst nerf any class has ever received in SWG. Total bullcrap.

I also forgot to add that if we are intended to be only support and a "softening up" agent, then there needs to be another way for us to get faction points.

I absolutely agree wtih that 210%!!!

Didn't Kave say in his stuff on Test post above that we were going to be getting some of that when using poisons? Or did I misread that? So maybe we are heading in the right direction on that, at least.

the short version of the test I ran

allowed only my pet to kill the guards at a Reb faction mission = 0 faction points

second attempt I tossed a poison on the guards as my pet was killing them = 10 faction for each kill

killed the guards on my own no pet no poison = 14 faction
