While your at it, look at combat. No one other than the idiots here. (and I do mean idiots I proved this in a thread recently) give any weight to this whole "combat medics are a support class" crap. SOE didnt design them to be a support class, they dont have the tools to be a support class, CMs dont think they are support class. Maybe that means they arent a *&*$ing support class.
Again commandos are supposed to be a support class. Combat medics do the fighting, and you guys help us by tossing grenades, and being meat shields until you die.
Combat Medic is a support profession. The "combat" part means that you are able to actively heal people WHILE THEY ARE FIGHTING. (hence the ranged/area stims). Commando is one of the Hybrid Combat Professions of this game. There is nothing but Combat in it.
Welll.....I'm going back to play Planetside now. (btw, I was a master combat medic upto 2 weeks ago, so this isn't from an outsider, hehe)

i dont mean this as an attack on the CM community, i an quite impressed with how well some of you use it. i just think the ineptitude of the developers of this game is quite astounding. What are they actually doing? this has been a problem for as long as i remember.
lol, sure, each mind shot may do less damage then each poison tick of ours, but you can fire 6 mind shots in the time it takes for one poison to tick, so we do now outdamage you, at all.
Ok this is my first post and I don't want to sound like I know it all but....
People really need to realise that using CM bio weapons just isnt the same as Rifleman headshot. Consider that the Rifler buys his weapon and gets on about the business. Easy.. no fuss.. hassle freekilling.
On the other hand the CM has to either find or buy (both take fair amount of effort) his components.. and let me tell you some of our high end bio weapon rescoures are as rare ashens teeth. Then thre CM must take his very hard to find ingredients and craft his little Bio Terrors- ok he can get a factory but it doesnt happen in 5 minutes. you have to makedifferent components and then load them into make your final product- It all take time and effort and usuallyserious money to make our ONLY weapon availible. Ok it kicks arse. But times spent making and damage done per shot,I'm guessing its the most expensive and time consuming weapons in the game. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I must agree and the range of Bio Warfare agents really needs to be reduced.. big time. 80m is just rediculous. IMHO should be more like 30m tops.. but that is just me.

This argument over if were support or not is a total joke who the hell gives a damn if we "support" our fellow team members by using poison/disease? or using area stims?
What if the the devs renamed Combat medics to something like Bio-Warriors? would you sleep better knowing you got beat by a Bio-Warrior? instead of having you crying yourself to sleep as a medic kicked you assas he'd found a weakness in yourunhitable god like template!!

Errm yes 30m base range is kinda what I meant.. just didn't express it very well. Thanks for pointing that out. 30m would be a bit too close for comfort hehe.
When we PvP with other groups we simply have a rule that MCM can use Area A's, or Single's only, makes the battles last alot longer, cause the A's dont take everyone down right away, and you cant throw them as far.

as much skill points as combat medic takes with having to master a whole combat xp line in marksman and mastering medic just to become a novice....we should be a powerful class. Everyone wants to nerf CM because mind disease takes care of their template where they feel in a war, they should never be hit. Combat medics spend a lot of time and resources to become masters and should be rewarded.
I agree...the only thing that should be nerfed with us is the ranged bug. The fact is, professions are fickle...I remember everyone wanted to be a commando because you could have a flamethrower and then at master you could stack DOTS now everyone is jumping off the bandwagon. Everyone wants CM nerf'd but can really give a reason. "I actually got hit with my Rifleman/TKA template, so nerf CM!" is not an argument. Unfortunately, devs have a tendency to listen to the loudest....wait that is not true...as TKA (unarmed) still out damages all melee professions in PvE and PvP..
and yet another note to you who believe you got your asses kicked by a MCM...
I am master combat medic and pistoleer 0-0-2-0, and you can ask just about anyone in my guild or who i have PvPd with, the only good i am at this as an annoyance with my poisons, or as a SUPPORT class with my poisons (there you go ppl who believe we shouldn't have this stuff) to knock someone's health, action or mind down so that my TKM buddy can do a specific hit to incap them and DB them. I do not believe that i will be able to do really good dmg and hold my own in PvP till i have some better attacks and mods.

People want to nerf CM because there is NO defense against area poisons and diseases. People want to nerf them even more because of the large number of you folks who seem to think it's OK to poison and disease people through walls and solid rock. Regardless, on Bria it's gotten to the point where if you're engaged in PvP action and a combat medic shows up on the scene, the battle is effectively over.
Combat Medic is overpowered. I've noted comments in this thread that mention low DPS. What utter tripe. You may have relatively low DPS against a SINGLE TARGET, but when you stick 400-700 damage DoTs (times 2) on a 20-member defending/raiding party, you're doing 16000-28000 damage per tick across that entire group. That's just ridiculous.
The only way I can think of to balance CM with the rest of the game is to actually enhance your class: give Combat Medics Area Cure Poison/Cure Disease packs. If I can have a Combat Medic on my team who can work to negate the devastating effects of the Combat Medic(s) in the opposing force, I'll be happy. Until then, I'll hate you because you just turn the game into a mind-p1ssing contest.
