Hi people..
I'm not actually a CM,was hoping someone could answer a couple of my questions
First of all i know very well this is not the trade forum, but i'm not trying to sell anything just want some info, and a price check.
I have a +17 CACombat medicine assembly. I know as a weaponsmith, a tape like that would be worth millions, buti can'tget it sold on the forum.
What would this CA be worth in your opinion? Does a CMusually making their own Combat medicine, or purches from someone who specializes in making it?

the "assembly" mod only affects the intial combine. My success rate at master is more than acceptable on initial combines.
Now what is worth big creds are + combat medicine "experimentation"
+10 or more over master gives one extra point when experimenting. +20 is plus 2 points.
These points make a difference in the final product as opposed to just the intial resource combine. That may be why you are having trouble selling it.

yeah i know the diffrence between assembly and experimentation =)
What do you think the tape is worth?

The big reason that the weaponsmith (assembly) tapes go for so much more is because weaponsmiths have to deal with looted items far more often. You don't want a crticial failure on the initial assmebly of a krayt T-21. Combat medics do very little crafting with looted components, so a critical failure on assembly really only means we try again. Hence, the tape isn't worth a huge amount. You still might get a couple million for it.

Another issue which hasn't been mentioned is that another reason that WS assembly tapes can sell for millions is that WS are rich. The CM community as a general rule is poor (I would argue they are the 5th poorest elite profession), so they do not have millions to spend on tapes, let alone an assembly tape.
I don't know all the details, but you might want to compare WS experimentation tapes to CM experimentation tapes, and scale your CM assembly tapes to a similar ratio to WS assembly tapes. You also might want to consider forgoing an official auction, and start offering MCM's you see on the server to sell the tape. It might move a little faster.
Or of course you could donate it to somebody to make his or her day...

I just input a +9 CA to assembly and that would capbe awesome to have.
But I have to agree with a fromer poster that since we dont use looted components to much, it doesn't hurt as bad when they fail. And most of the time if we do use a looted comp we are going to use said poison/disease for ourselves. So I dont think its worth much but I'm sure some millionare PVP CM would be willing.
