The Goal: I want to be able to be group desireableand soloable.

My idea to accomplish both: Combat Medic and Creature Handler

The problem: I cannot master either due to the 250 skill point limit (which is fine, it's a non issue)

The Question: Do I actualy need a weapon or will the damageabilities in Combat Medic be good enough to replace a weapon for soloing purposes?

Target skills:

http://swg.allakhazam.com/db/userinfo.html?char_id=11562

  • Medic Master (Requirement for combat medic)

  • Marksman 0404 (I would prefer 0004. The last tree is required for combat medic, This requirement just kills me)

  • Scouting 4040 (Both are required to get creature handler. Why do I need to run fast to control creatures? The other tree makes sense)

  • Creature Handler 3213 (These were the most important trees required for controling and maintaining pets, every thing else seems to be fluff)

  • Combat Medic 2044 ( I would prefer 2244 which Is why I asked The Question)

Is the WOMP BUTT weapon abilities needed? Or will I regret not having them?

Thanks for any input anyone can offer.

Once you have a Rancor or Gurreck tame attempt go wrong, you will know.

Not like it'll do much good if you go dizzy....

And I defy you to outrun a gurreck...

I intend to have my creatures Bio-Engineered and those go strait to the datapad, no need to tame, I think. I'm just a high tech kind of guy

I'd suggest dropping combat medic, stay with master medic. You'll be more healing power then most groups have. You'll heal just as good as a combat medic, just have to be close to people.

Then you can easily master creature handler, and get one line of an advanced weaponskill.

There have been many situations where a long reange heal would have saved many people.

But I was wandering more about the power of the Damage Over Time (DOT) ability of the combat medic.

It just seems to be such a waste to level up master medic (wasnt dificult) and LR support (long haul) and not take on Combat Medic. However skill point limits prevent me from doing too much with it. The gun would be about the only tree I could drop out of the picture, but would it be a wise choice?

I'm getting totaly no responses from the CM and general forums.

Will the DOTs replace the gun?

Only a Combat medic could possably answer this.

Head over to the combat medic profession discussion board. They'll be able to tell you more.

Sounds like a good template, poison them, send pet and go hide, come back to DB.
