Thread: Best item to make to get CM Crafting XP?
Self-explanatory. ![]()
What's the best item you can think of in terms of resource use vs. experience gained to make to get Crafting XP?
I used to use Bio Controllers because they use few resources but earned a little more exp than the other components, but now I don't know. Anyone help he out?

since it's still medical crafting exp we are using to skill up, BEC are still the most effective way - resourcewise - to advance in crafting through grinding
advanced components yield more exp per combine (~80 i think)but require to specific resources, but if you got the cash, this might be an option.
anyhow~80k medcrafting exp is not that much.
I can't tell you what is the best...... but I can tell you what I did.
I had 2 stockpiles of resources. One pile being my "good" resources........ you know the stuff I would make into actually stims, and another pile of basic crap resources for grinding.
Having the 2 piles really helped me with cost management in the end....... and especially now with the mission reward cut back, this strat may help your pocket book as well.
As for what I grinded........... Stim C's. I made everything from scratch, I had 3 crafting stations going at once, and since the resources I was using were so horrible I "practiced" on ONLY the final combine. Practicing makes it so you get a "free-bee" every 20th combine. Now it may not seem like much, but calculate that into the 100s of combines you'll need to do to advance and you'll see tha tpractice DOES help out with the grind.
Don't use factory's while grinding, you only get (i think) 10% of what you get if you were to craft it from scratch.
Hope this helps.
Yeah that's how I do it too. I have a pack with all my good and advanced resources, and one with my throwaway crap for exp gaining.
Thanks for the info!

Higher the compextivity of the item the more the experience.
Rog.
Also craft crap whenever you have a chance.

Depending on what's available on your server, try craftingstim B's,do everything by hand, and get into the med biz. Buy a basic MSE droid with food/chem station and you can experiment everywhere, including while waiting for a shuttle.
Stim B's are usable by novice medics - even the CH's who picked it up to heal their pets. Crafted with high quality components you can get some rather good results. Sell them for less than it costs to make (you're grinding anyway) and drop them in the bazaar of whatever town you're crafting in. Don't look at it as a way to make money - look at it as a way to buy high quality components to extend your grind.
I only just hit novice CM yesterday, but for advanceing up though medic i found that makeing stim c and d got me through it fater than i could use the packs i made. (about 2 days and only makeing the stims when my first stach was running low)
In general, make the stims from scratch, useing whatever you got on hand, blow them on whatever you come across that happens to be hurt.. rinse and repeat. I found a good source of damage to heal is to hop on a shuttle to Dathomir or Lok, and just heal CH's pets when they came by.
I make Stim A's but practice them so they dont fill up my inventory.
Set up 4 or 5 macros that open a food/chem crafting tool and opens a schematic of your stimA. go to your 4th or 5th set of toolbars...have the first 4 or 5 slots full of different crafting tools. have a seperate macro for each crafting tool.
hit the macro it opens the crafting tool and loads the stimA.they are cheap and fast to make. dbl click on the resources. hit enter once ..wait 2 seconds then hit enter twice...if you have practiced once then all others will be practice. by the time your tools are done your ready to start again. its boring, but what isnt..this is just to grind...use a cheap inorg/organic and youll get 31 xp per...it adds up FAST.
as for the macro...Im at work, but i think its: /ui action toolbarSlot00; /draft schematic01; the toolbarslot00 opens up the crafting tool on F1 the draft schematic is the food/chem from top to bottom left to right in your data pad...for all the schematics in your datapad that a food/chem tool can make count from left to right until you get to the Stim A. add that number to the draft schematic line...01, 02 or whatever.
It has helped me get thru the clicking nauseum called crafting.
