Rifle man 0/0/0/2 and work towards master Rifle - I will drop Arty there pretty soon. However pisol is a lot nicer untill you get your rilfe speed up - too long between heals and or poisons depending on your pleasure.

Right now Im going for master CM/master pistoleer. Was going CM/smuggler but the smuggler profession was to frustrateing and there aren't enough skill points to master both of them so I figured pistoleer since I already had pistols IV and rifles eat the mind pool too much for effective healing in combat.

Just mastered Combat Medic, working on Master Carbineer (I'm at 0/1/0/3 now).


So far I love this combo better than anything I've played (I've been a pistoleer, ranger andbounty hunter).

Im MCM, doc 0440 and pistoleer 0043.


Self buffs are great! Mind will be at 1300 as mon cal once stats migrate so i can heal like crazy. As support im awsome with the res ability.....also pistols have the greatest variety of damage types. I switch between pistol depending on the resists on whatmyself or the group are fighting ie fwg, scout and dx2 mostly. Also pistols are fast and wont interfere with healing like other weapons with low speed at novice levels. i feel with this template i am very versatile, altho poison and dis cures are lacking. I can still hold a large group by myself( i alone make or break the group) and can still solo lots of things....actually i bet i could solo anything in swg.


i have not tried to solo kimo's or krayts but ancient rancors and dant FS guys with 29k HAM and 80% resists cant even touch me if i use the terrain (water and hills) and pistol bleeds.The AI is problematic and are quick to quit the chase.Use a poison to call 1 enemy then burst out of range.......let them follow. They will give upafter a short while.....run in, bleed, run out. Melee enemys won't even stand a chance....FS guys cant get close enuff to force choke. For ranged guys i tend to dart in and out of 64m range while spamming bleed. I never stop moving so i'm hard to hit.......u only need to hit them once with a bleed ....then its time to run to 80-120m away from them. Ranged enemies only ever get 1 or 2 shots off while i move in for the bleed. If u are unlucky they might hit for a 1shot incapp but its rare IF they even hit. Its also fun to use the water on dant......i can shoot safely at an FS as they are helpless bleeding and health poisoned stacked while trying to swim to me. I have not tried to solo FS or ancient rancor with buffs or armor( i did not have the money or resources). It really comes down togetting to know how the AI works. But i can now buff my health and action so i will be much tougher.

ooops was not finished........oh yah, ranged guys will drop stance to prone or kneel when u get within the 64m ......this makes it easy to get away since they can't move in those stances.


These tactics do not work well for mission lairs since they respawn/reset if i get too far away from the lair


My template was designedto be agroup hunting healer.......but i have found the pistoleer skills invaluable. Its a great mix between healing and combat. I can still dish much damage with fanshot (watchout for aggroing crowds sometimes stopping shot is better but slower) so i can really help the group. Also is fun to pistol whip KD something thats chasing u or a groupedmelee tank thats almost out of mind. Covering fire also works. I am a group essential and can still solo......soloing is a GREAT challenge and requires studying ur prey sometimes. (trial and error works too)


I have had too much fun with this template and recommend it to any other cm. it has worked really well for my play style.I tried rifleman in this combo but was limited to the types of damage when facing mobs with specific high resists.


Im not much for pvp since i have no composite armor but i know PvE and group PvE well


I can not harvest meat or gather my own resources which is a HUGE PAIN!!!


We all know how doc/cm is a great combo......we all know how any adv prof from the marksman tree/cm complement each other.I found that doc 0440 and 0043 pistoleer give me the best flexibility.
