Thread: Thrown Weapons Why Not???

Hey there all.
Now as Combat Medic's we can throw heal grenades like its going out of style. Hell 60m right on target! Poisons, Diseases, AOE's and Stims like a Big League Pitcher! Why is it that I can't throw a lite frag grenade 20m on target?
I know there is a lot of calls to Nerf us and I must seem like a cad to ask for more abilities but hey it just seems right that we would get a little bonus on throwing the one grenade cert that we have?

Well as an old master commando I'd love to see grenades used more...I'd also love them to get more range, but 64m for them is unreasonable only because we have to greatly sacrifice our power to get that range, but a grenade wouldn't, it would be the same damage from 5m or 64m...I'd think 40m wouldn't be that bad to set the range at for grenades, no range mods needed, just set all grenades to 40m ideal.
But I though ranged stims were bugged, I thought their max range was bugged at 45m or something...

This is mostly because we don't throw them Think of it more of a touching from afar. Coding ranged heals as "weapons" would be incredibly hard. There is no differance between a ranged stim and a doc stim except for the range restrictions. So if the devs were to change this they would have to totaly rework the entire medical programing. That is why we can't miss.
